Suggestions for 2014 WC Community Project

Suggestions for 2014 WC Community Project

The last community skin we did was the Holiday Community Suite back in 2009.  I wouldn't mind doing another winter holiday suite, but that's for later in the year.

https://forums.wincustomize.com/363398/

So lets start getting ideas for the next community suite.  Do we go for a season like Spring or Summer?  Another holiday?  A different type of theme?

Lets hear it and discuss it and get moving on the next one.

That's what I was talking about. Your style, great. Would love to look that over if you wish to send it to me. Promise no changes here just a look over as that is your baby. I knew you would come up with something totally different.

no worries as I'm doing it in Notepad. File size very small. Everyone can open with NP.

didn't mean file size as in...weight... just.. does it all fit (the total instructions) on the screen to screenshot?... then jpeg...etc..

sorry.. didn't explain it well...

Thanks Dave, means a lot being my first try. Got the calendar set as shown above from syd and working on getting it tweaked. Rather fun and love doing something new, so when I get closer or stuck, which ever comes first, I will send for approval from ya. Thanks again.

If you need a template (.ini config) for a strip style rainy, you may use this one: Link

bleumart...    in your windowblind comment/description area... above the list you have written of accessories that are being made... you should put in this link... and just put:

Metall Tech accessories list here:     https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/all/search/Metall

this link will bring up automatically all the skins that are being added to the galleries without you having to put them in one by one... and makes it easier for the downloader to go through...   not a bad idea for all submitters to put it in to cross search...

....  all except teddy's wall which is called MT4 and won't be picked up in the search... don't know if you want to change that or not teddy....just letting you know... but bleumart has a separate link for you there..

so... important as work is completed that you name your skin accessory... so that it starts with      Metall    ;)

Folks I need to give you a very important message/update on Jim (RedneckDude).  He went to the hospital last night with very low blood pressure and very high heartrate (156).  At first it was thought he as having a heart attack but it looks like what is going on is heart is out of rhythm.  I'm sure there is a medical term for that.

Jim, being such a good community member wanted you folks to know that you will not be uploading his skins for the project today or for awhile.  I passed on to him that there was no big hurry.  He will remain in the hospital for a few days while they run some tests.

Jim does have a FB page so please pay a visit and let him know you are thinking about him.  https://www.facebook.com/RedneckDude2

Thanks

the orange needs to more match the tan/orange of the taskbuttons for uniformity.... with white font... need to colour pick it to get it spot on...there are varying tan shades in the taskbar to choose from.... that orange is foreign to the colour scheme...

also... the frames need to have that gradient shading... like the other Rainy...see how yours is just that one flat shade?...

also... if you have a look at Tim's to gauge the ratio of it a bit more as a guide... your horizontal bar looks to need to be longer... space the numbers out a little more..

teddy.... ok if I upload this as a LogonStudio with your permission from #261?

would you like me to put up a plain one as well... it's such a pretty one...

To me it looks good, but I don't skin anything, so my chimes would just be aesthetics!

HELP:

OK, I have the instructions completed to help making a Rainlendar. So I now have Dropbox, installed and working fine. I put the instruction zip in it. Go to my dropbox web site and it's there. So now, do I copy that web site link and link it here? It's my web site dopbox, will a password be needed for all to access it? Now sure how to link it here so a little help from all you Dropbox people.

Yes a link here, and you have to say if a password is needed or not. But then we'd need to know the password. The link, no password is fine. No one can see anything else in your dropbox, only what the link points to.

Want to make a Rainlendar? Hopefully these instructions will help.

Think i covered all the main things. Anyone that wants to add anything please PM or email me and i will add it to the file. Just remember I didn't get into everything in the ini file only the things that were really important and will allow one to complete a Rainy.

Here is the link for download.
