Suggestions for 2014 WC Community Project

The last community skin we did was the Holiday Community Suite back in 2009.  I wouldn't mind doing another winter holiday suite, but that's for later in the year.

So lets start getting ideas for the next community suite.  Do we go for a season like Spring or Summer?  Another holiday?  A different type of theme?

Lets hear it and discuss it and get moving on the next one.

I know "Christmas Holidays" is a bit ahead of itself and you asked for suggestions..."right?"

I do have a request... Since most of our designers are men and (from that comment...u got it... I AM WOMAN)

Over the past 10 or 15 years that I've spent so much $$$$ with Stardock, premium themes and even sponsored many of the best talents here.

I (being a WOMAN) was wondering why so many of the projects are always so "dark" in content, theme and design?  The world is full of color and things that make us feel good or even feel so sort of optimism...

For all or you wonderful and talented people... could you find it in your spirits to create something "light, airy and colorful"?

Some or WinCustomize's best & greatest designers are men. That does not mean you have to be "?????" to lighten the world with color.

JJ930 - I see you may be a fan of Tinker Bell, and/or her Fairy friends? If so: Me too! I shan't admit to my two Tinkerbell tattoos, though. :D

Have always wanted to make a Tink theme for myself (personal use) but it's so much work as to make it defeating for me, so I stick to smaller projects: Ie: Wallpapers.  But I agree on the color thing. Adore it. Vibrant bursts of robust color: Nature in a nutshell. I'd like to, someday, do a kind of fusion suite of two elements: Natural (rocks, stones, grasses, et al) and synthetic (brushed metals, concretes, steel, et al). I think it'd be an interesting, tactile, organic experience.

Dark themes always seem to come off as the general favourites... so skinners seem to want to do them more... must say, Vienna Spectrum is a long term favourite of mine... and skins that can be recoloured so you can have the colour you wish each day... Sakura great for recolouring... and LCD... and actually, this one recolours very well too....    link...

sounds like neone's Biosphere upcoming blind could be right up your alley... though I believe the name will be changed... so keep an eye out for that...

also, Country Yokel just did a lovely bright blind... link...

My Winstep and walls were done pre heart problem and just needed uploading.

I assume no one had any problems with them.

 

I will rest today, mostly. Gonna see a movie called Son Of God.

 

Am tinkering with a DX theme. Similar layout as some of my previous ones. Only so many ways to do it.....

 

I can/will do some docks if needed. Looks like there'll be a few already. Don't want to duplicate anything.

As for Tiles, if Tiles is set to use the WB skin, it makes a fair one on it's own. No one skins Tiles much anymore.

There's some tiles... promise of a tabbed and a tray... so.. still room for more... always good to have choices...would be great if you could.. just see how you go... pace yourself..   ;)
