Suggestions for 2014 WC Community Project

The last community skin we did was the Holiday Community Suite back in 2009.  I wouldn't mind doing another winter holiday suite, but that's for later in the year.

So lets start getting ideas for the next community suite.  Do we go for a season like Spring or Summer?  Another holiday?  A different type of theme?

Lets hear it and discuss it and get moving on the next one.

Question for those in the know.....   

I am partial to recolouring blinds that recolour well.... some programs like docks and gadgets etc... allow you to change colour... as seen in the screenshot with Frontier weather....  I don't see any facility for this in Rainlendar... am I missing something?.. is it possible and I just haven't spotted it?.... if not, is it a piece of coding that could be added?.... like from our resident coding wiz... sViz?....  

(teddy's new wall by the way... quite dazzling...)

no there isn't.

However here is something I actually did.

You have to have Photoshop. I guess there are other programs available as long as there is a Hue adjustment. You need to open the graphic in PS in this case the 3 graphics. "Background" ToDo or Task list whatever one calls it and the Event list. In PS goto Image, aAdjustments, / Hue/Saturation. Slide the sliders and you can make it any color you wish. After it's done just save it and copy and paste into the Rainy folder in Programs files. 

If you can't do that tell me what color you want and I will do it and send you the graphics or just put them in DropBox.

Well, there needs to be a distinction between days with events and days without. Font color change or some kind of notifier, like a box around that day, etc.

Most use a different font color for that function. Also, toady's date should stand out.

Uvah, you must be using an older version of Rainlendar. Mine doesn't seem to have those settings. I'm using the latest.

I do have photoshop.. but I suppose, considering how often I change themes... and it's a heap.... I was hoping there was something quicker...

still... it's worth doing for some of the desktops themes that I constantly come back to...the regulars... thanks for the tip...  :)

Ok I have colored them exactly like the color you have in reply 427 screen shot. I also renamed the folder so no worries with the orginial one in the Rainlendar folder. Just cope this one into the Rainlendar and good to go.

I got that also so rechecked the link. I use Opera and shut it down and opened it again and the link work for me while on the thread now. I don't have you email or would just send them to you. Skype works great also.

Morning all. I was not surprised , actually expected,to get some disappointment with my Rainlendar skins as far as frames matching. Even expecting it, it sucked, but only for ten minutes or so,lol. So, made some new framing, you will love damn it, I order you, but kept the originals also. Now it is a four pack of Rainy's'. One for both flavors, mine and yours.Have a look.[Also, Dave suggested a button change, I used his and mine to make a new one, thanks Dave} Thank you sydneysiders, thanks bleumart.

check out the edited screenie in #427... makes Rainys a lot more versatile... bit laborious... but definitely worth it when you use rainys alot...

Everyone has been uploading already. I think John (Philly is collecting all the links and when things are done he will provide that. Will check with him when he comes on Skype or maybe he will post here and advice us.

I always say make or revise what you feel best with. The above SS does look great.

There's a nice easy way. When you have the reply on your screen open the start menu, there should be a thing called a snipping tool. Click on that, the screen will go opague then use your cursor to grab and edge and drag out the part you want to copy. Click ok on you're done. Now go look for it and use something like photobucket to put it here.
