King Crimson - "Cirkus" - 'Lizard' - 1970

"Elephants forgot, force-fed on stale chalk,
Ate the floors of their cages.
Strongmen lost their hair, paybox collapsed and
Lions sharpened their teeth.
Gloves raced round the ring, stallions stampeded
Pandemonium seesaw...
I ran for the door, ringmasters shouted,
"All the fun of the Cirkus!"

King Crimson - "Happy Family" - 'Lizard' - 1970

"Uncle Rufus grew his nose, threw away his circus clothes
Cousin Silas grew a beard, drew another flask of weird
Nasty Jonah grew a wife, Judas drew his pruning knife
Happy Family, one hand clap, four went on but none came back."

For some reason, the first post dosen't count as a reply, because the number of replies only counts for the number of replies, not the number of posts (well it's only logical ) so the post that created the topic isn't counted. I don't know where the other mystery post has disapeared to. Maybe it's just Jafo showing off his admin powers, and slipping an extra post in, and hoping no one will notice, so that his thread catches up to the marathon.

JamMeister33,
King Crimson's softer music appeals to me more, for example their Prelude: Song of the Gulls, to me is genious, but I love everything they do....Islands is my all time favorite, Ladies of the Road is a hot song too.
Nice to "meet" another King Crimson fan!

JamMeister33,
Nice to "meet" another King Crimson fan!

Nice to 'meet' you too, Ms. Xerraire, two of my favorites are:

King Crimson - "Lady of the Dancing Water" - 'Lizard' -1970

King Crimson - "In The Wake of Poseidon (including Libra's Theme)" - 'In the Wake of Poseidon' - 1970

'Islands' is also one of MY favorites by King Crimson....

Are you also familiar with the music of Camel? They are even lesser known around here than King Crimson.
Also excellent music.

I remember Camel, but I don't have anything by them any longer....

Do you remember the Move?

Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood were in this band before they split away to become Electric Light Orchestra.
Roy Wood was only on the first album, which is impossible to get a copy of, and left the band over
creative differences with Jeff Lynne....(meaning they were both major ego trippers)

I have quite a few by Camel.
I am not familiar with the move, although I love ELO's Eldorado Album. Maybe I do know the Move but none of their songs are coming to me.
They weren't very well known until they became ELO...
I'm not surprised you don't know of them.
