Hi,

We've heard from a number of users that their UI isn't rendering with the new version of the game. We want to fix the issues, but we need your help!

If your UI was rendering in the previous revision but not in the current version, please post to this thread!

Please include:

1. The platform you're playing on (PC/Mac)

2. If you're using a laptop, tablet, or desktop

3. Your operating system

4. Your video card(s)

5. If you are on PC, if you were using DirectX 9 or the DirectX 11 version before. 

6. If you are on PC, can you please try the following steps to see if this helps the game UI to render:

If you want to run Offworld Trading Company in DX9, please use the OffworldD3D9.bat that is in the install directory. You can find this easily by:

  1. Select Offworld Trading Company in your Steam Library list
  2. Right-click and select Properties
  3. Select the Local Files tab
  4. Click on Browse Local Files...

I'm still having issues DeftMonkey. Thanks for working on it. I'm able to play usually but I have to restart the game relatively often and never get to see the end game graphs.

Just bought the game to discover this issue.

  1. Mac
  2. Laptop (Macbook Pro 13 inch mid-2012)
  3. OS X 10.10.2
  4. Intel HD Graphics 4000 (1024MB)

I had the UI not render after getting kicked from a multiplayer game lobby. Only time I've ever had UI not render. Not sure if its a related issue or not.

Windows 7, 64bit, dx11, decent AMD graphics card.

Today, the issue occurred to me as well. The last three games I wanted to play, I had no UI Interface. Before then, it worked fine.

 

UPDATE: Issue is not occurring anymore.

3. Your operating system: OSX Yosemite 10.10.1

4. Your video card(s): Intel HD Graphics 3000

This has been an issue off and on since the game came out for me.  A few reboots usually resolves it. I get partial rendering (in chunks or bars) more often than the UI missing completely.  Problem is worse when using Thunderbolt video output.   Looking to upgrade my hardware situation soon, this game being part of the motive to do so.

I was able to resolve this problem on the Mac locally, and have a fix in the pipe to be released. Will update when that is pushed to see if people are still experiencing the issue on the Mac side.
