I am afraid we do not support prerelease software like firefox developer edition.  If you can reproduce the problem with the release version of firefox then please let us know.

Firefox Developer Edition isn't prerelease software, it's used in production and development business. If Stardock thinks it's ok that their app blocks other software, then I'm done with WindowBlinds which should be considered prerelease itself.

Well, I'm sure t will be fixed, then Mozilla will update and break WindowBlinds again, and again, and again. WB's isn't blocking anything, FF broke it once more. This seems to be the going pattern. Meanwhile, you might want to submit a ticket to [email protected]

You are mistaken, 8.1 update broke it, nothing changed on Mozilla's side. I've been using blinds with Win 8 since it came out for it and not a single time I had problem with Firefox/FDE until now (well nothing proper theme couldn't fix anyway). FDE won't even start into safe mode, nothing, it's completely obstructed by some new code in Blinds. If they fix it, it's all fine, bugs happen. But that message from Neil is not very customer friendly, perhaps they should avoid statements like "we don't support", without actually looking at what's wrong. Especially when problem is caused specifically by brand new version of Blinds.

Unfortunately I suspect the issue is the fix for normal (AKA used by the vast majority of the customers) Firefox is upsetting developer Firefox.  My gut feeling it is may well be WB exposing a bug in Firefox developer edition.

We will look into it but we had no reports of issues with 8.095 beta which is basically identical to 8.1.

As a temporary fix, renaming firefox developer exe to something else may well work.

I have the same problem with Firefox (Beta) immediately after updating to WB 8.1. Going to an older version of WB fixes the Firefox problem, but I should not have to do that!

I do hope Stardock is aware that within a few months many "power" users of Fx will be moving from the release version to the Developer version permanently.  This what Mozilla has decreed we all should do when the new draconian extension signing requirement goes into effect. It never occurred to me until just now that the Developer version would not be supported for Windowblinds.

Confident Stardock will sort it 😀 but if it came down to a choice I would change browser with out think much about it😌

Comme je l'ai dit dans mon premier post , sur firefox developer édition en 64 bits installé windowsblinds 8.09 avec accélération matériel activé , tout fonctionne parfaitement no problem.

éffectivement crash avec winblins 8.1 .
