Multiplayer - no games shown?

Does no one play or do I have a problem like a closed port?

Oh we try to play but the last patch that was supposed to FIX multiplayer has somehow made it worse to the point it either crashes the host or the other humans computer and even if you get it to actual start up it crashes or freezes on turn 1. (See Seilore's thread - Multiplayer not ready)

Good to know it's a known issue.  I'm sure they will fix it as long as it is known.

Multiplayer is working now. Seilore and I just tested it out.

Games are shown now, but if you start one it crashes.

I'd wait until everyone has the 1.0 build. There's weird stuff with  multiple versions of 0.97 floating around.

I've been playing a lot of duels (1 on 1) and some co-op with fans. It is, I admit, more fun than I thought it would be.

MP doesn't work today.  It crashes  during the load of the map, there were 3 people and 2 ai's.  Seems like it gets farther than before but it still crashes.  When it does galciv3.exe disappears completely.  I was not host.

Multiplayer seems to work but only after I moved all my custom ship designs out of the designs folder.  Before I did that the game would crash or time out trying to load custome ship data.  I know when I started a new single player game earlier today, my designs didn't cause an issue.  Just seems to be multiplayer for some reason.
