Approval Relic does not show it is adding 10% to Approval on colonies

How approval is calculated is somewhat of a mystery to me.  One thing for sure though is it 10% higher when I have an approval relic being mined by a starbase, yet it doesn't say it is.  I decommission the starbase and the approvals for all colonies go down 10%.

In contrast, if you have a culture relic, the colony info does show it increasing influence by 10%.  So this too leads me to believe approval relic is missing in the list of things that modify approval.

As of the latest patch (6.2 [v0.97]) this should be fixed.  Have you downloaded the latest update?  And, if so, did you start with a fresh game?  Because the change won't take affect until a new game is started due to it being an XML issue.

I can confirm that last night this was working...I had two and got a +20% boost.

I can confirm that with the latest patch the tooltip for approval does show the approval relics.

I've also noticed (albeit later in this save file) that viewing planets, even simply Earth, has begun this oddball behavior of raising or lowering the average Approval rating. It's as though my approval number at the top of the UI is some kind of estimate and that accessing these numbers per planet refines that estimate.

Has this been addressed last night // is this even an issue?  Psychology sidebar: I wouldn't mind at all seeing an "estimated Approval" figure atop the UI.  Like, my very best men still can't quite put together a precise number.  Totally makes sense to me. I just have to wonder whether this result is an intended one.

Your two posts gave me a sigh of relief though.  It was irritating, having to marvel at what new arbitrary thing was going to worm its way into my empire's approval rating.  Oh, I mean, Democratic Republic.

I am running .97 but perhaps it was a prior game.  I am not sure.  If people confirm its fixed in new games I am good.  Thanks.
