Can you turn surrenders off?

Can you turn surrenders off? I always used to switch them off in Galactic Civilizations 2, will we have the same option for this game?

Also, can we edit star names like we used to be able to?

Editing Star Names In Game is on "The List" (you can always edit the star name list outside of the game in the XLMs via modding). No ETA yet though. As for "No Surrenders" the idea has been broached to the devs several times lately. so they are aware that some people want it. Whether it's coming or not, isn't yet known.

I hope they implement the "disable tech brokering" option from GC2.
