Like I said, Tat, I don't take your feedback seriously. After many months of trying to understand your motivations i've just had enough.
It's like you're playing a different game. Projectiles miss all the time in Ashes. Probably about half the time if the unit is moving and the missile has no guidance system to lock onto a target.
Every few weeks I get a PM from someone either asking you to be banned or threatening to leave the forum if you're not banned.
You're a SupCom fan boy that would turn this game into a pale imitation of SupCom. I don't understand why you're even here. You hijack half the posts you participate in to either bash Ashes because it doesn't have some feature or design that FAF has or to outright advocate FAF.
Go play FAF.
this is saddening to see.
who would ask that I get banned over me voicing my ideas not even attacking anyone personally or anything of the sort? this is childish at best.
And if it's the case then it's childish for you to acknowledge it all as relevant to you pointing out what you don't like about me.
seems so wildly off-topic to me.
I don't really know what you're complaining about. having me as part of your community is not opt-in. You set this up in the purpose of getting feedback and I give it.
You shouldn't cherrypick amongst your feedback community members based on personal preference. Not only does that defeat the purpose (by removing all constructiveness; people will self-censor and well ...that's a censorship to begin with) but it's also ethically wrong.
I refuse to take the fall for your refusal to understand that indeed : NO I am NOT motivated by fanboyism. as if that's the one reason that could ever exist for happening to mention another title or compare it to another title. This isn't forbidden and (hopefully) never will be. It's got something to do with freedom of thought and freedom of speech.
This is pretending you think it's the cause when you know that it can't be helped when this game falls into the same category and so far has set itself the same objectives as many others before it.
I can't count the number of first posters who mentioned naively their experience with supcom and how they were reminded of it.
Is it because THEY have an agenda? are THEY subject to the same scrutiny as you place me under? no.
I'll tell you what sets you off about me; what differentiates me from the other posters (who say supcom this supcom that...) : it's that I'm just a little more frequent of an occurrence.
Once in a while from diverse users your can always ignore. but every other thread from the same guy. No longer and "ignorable".
And that's entirely why I do it.
If I could get a reaction out of you.
That shows that we're not being turned a deaf ear on this feedback that we were asked for would be great.
Because if feedback to you means "rub my back then go away" then you should call it that way; and not mislead all of us.
And this game IS a pale imitation of Sup Com. It currently is. I'm not "a guy who would have ashes turned into a pale imitation of FAF". IT IS. that's the whole shebang right there. 100% of my feedback is centered around what's needed for it not to be.
it's obviously a take it or leave it situation. and you've decided to leave it. that's fine. no need to make several posts about me "going back to faf and leaving ashes alone".
I play FAF.
next to everyday. and I can handle doing that and posting here just fine.
It's not against my rights to hope that one day game devs will aspire to take some of the good aspects of FA and turn it into something in another game. Rather then put out game after game after game that all make you go "welp... FA's still better".
and I don't see how this should prevent your day to day browsing of this forum.
In the end I'm just a voice.
I'm obviously making no difference.
so why should you care?
the matter is only to know whether or not you'll help me make a difference.
Because I've been around these parts. I may be younger than you but I have earned a feel for what the internet at large wants. and I've been acquiring knowledge on sim-pro RTSes for a long time. And from past experience I don't feel I ever lead a dev into a pitfall. quite to the contrary.
I'm tired of being constantly disappointed by the gaming world. I'll let it happen but not without putting in my input. I don't want my conscience telling me I don't have the right to complain about it because I didn't do anything about it.
