I am currently running 2 970 GTX's OC'd on my desktop PC. I have seen a lot of info recently about getting Multi-GPU support for AMD & Nvidia cards to work together but I just wanted to know if my two 970's will work. I know that it is no longer a traditional "SLI" but will they both run in the current build? Just the benchmark? I am just confused about the current & future support for my 2 970's.
If i understood what i read, on DirectX 12, identical cards are working like a single, twice as powerful card. Personally, both my Radeon 7950 are working here. Even without Crossfire bridges! Both your GeForces should be working too.. remember to select the MGPU box from the options panel!
Yours should work well together.
Thanks! I just have not had a chance to play and wanted to know if the Multi-GPU was working.
The Multi-GPU is working, but on Nivida Graphics Cards is so bad... I have 2 970gtx EVGA SC and work better 1 single Card on DX11 than Multi-GPU on DX12.
I hope some drivers of Nvidia and Update of Ashes fix this.
Are you just basing that on the benchmark or is that in the game too?
Another person on Steam mentioned the same problem, with 2xTitan. Then they actually tried the game itself and the FPS was very high, as you'd expect. Just the benchmark was bugged.
Make sure SLI is off in the drivers.
Well, maybe you´r right. I really cant say if is working better on Dx 12 than Dx 11 because on Dx12 gameplay the 2 video cards work at 100% and on the benchmark just 50%. But, Fraps Riva Tunner and others programs dont work whit Dx 12 for now.
I am just me or there is no support on Dx12 for Fraps and Riva Tunner?
Grettings! And thank you for the answer
No problem, hopefully the devs sees this stuff and fix the benchmark. Steam's own FPS overlay now works in dx12 so you can use that, very convenient. Perhaps better than using those you mention for stability reasons too.
"I am just me or there is no support on Dx12 for Fraps and Riva Tunner? " Really that is the wrong way round, it is not DX12 which needs to give support to those programs, but those programs that need to support DX12 (Probably what you meant but hey )
Hello, wow, I can't believe I still have this account, from early 2000s.
Anyway, this is so amazing, the news, of MGPU.
May I ask please, where can I obtain this software? I would really appreciate that!
Thanks
What do you mean?
Multi-GPU is an optional feature of the DirectX 12, which developers can choose to implement to allow people to make use of two closely matched graphics cards which do not need to be of the same manufacturer.
Multi-GPU is implemented in the DirectX 12 version of Ashes of the Singularity. Other games that are developed using DirectX 12 in the future could also include this feature if the developer chooses.
