I have a bug here where in multiplayer games the units and action on screen for client computers is vastly different from what the host sees. It's a big problem because only the host sees the real game, and what the other players see is fake. These two pictures below were taken at the same place, at the same time, in the same game. First one is the host and second is a client.
To highlight the symptoms of this bug:
- Units on clients screen are displaced from where they actually are on the host's screen.
- Units on clients computer will take an unusual amount of time to die. I've seen 10 dreadnoughts fire at 1 cruiser for 5 minutes.
- Units on clients computer will teleport. Once every few minutes their location will update and teleport to where it actually is, glitch out for 5 minutes, then teleport to where it actually is.
- Units on clients computer will go from full health to dead instantly. This is especially startling when it happens to a Juggernaut.
If you guys like I can try to obtain video of the bug, it would show better how jarring it really is. It's game breaking. I used to be running AMD FX CPUs, the game was lagging and I thought this desync bug may have been due to the hardware not being able to keep up with the game. However I upgraded to 8 and 12 thread Ryzen CPUs, the lag is gone but the desync bug remains. Also this happens in every game!
Please fix this!
