Icons resolution

Hi there i would like to know how to change the icons resolution to make them bigger, like when some of the packages say "Icons are rendered in 32bit color with 16x16,24x24,32x32,48x48,64x64
72x72 etc,etc."
is this the same as changing the desktop resolution? because i want to keep my screen resolution at 1024, but the icons (icon packager) look to small.
would somebody be king enough to tell me how to do it, thanks in advance.

Hi Libby,

I am not sure I completely understand your question, bu tlet me take a shot at an answer. Your questions really depend on what Operating System you are running. If you are on XP, open Display Properties, right click on Desktop choose 'Properties". Select the Appearance tab and click on the 'effects' button. There is a 'Use Large Icons" check box. Check that box if you want large icons, uncheck it for small icons.

You can't really change the resolution of icons in Windows. Those packages are just telling you that all those resolutions are avaialable in the package.

If this doesn't completely answer your question, just post a follow up question.

If you have DesktopX, it allows you to choose any desktop icon size you like! I have mine set to 48 and to zoom to 72 on mouseover.
