Happy Rosh Hashanah!

The Rosh Hashanah holiday begins at sunset tonight. Rosh Hashanah, meaning "Head of the year", is one of the Jewish High Holidays. Often referred to as the Jewish New Year, it is traditionlly a time for reflection, asking for forgiveness and for doing charitable deeds (or Tzedakah.)

For all those who observe the holiday, let me say "L'Shana Tova."

Let's hope for significantly less violence and a sincere attempt to reach peace.

I had a long talk with an 84 year old lady yesterday, explaining this holiday to me. Such a beautiful thing. I could have listened to her all day.....and almost did.

Koop, we have our apples and honey and we have emptied our pockets of all the really important stuff before we make our trip to the river.

L'Shana Tova

P.S.

We won't be swinging any chickens over our heads though.
