highlight colour on start menu

The highlight is basically invisible when using Windows 11 style on Start11.

 

See the example below. Due to the very low contrast of the highlight it is difficult to tell which menu item is highlighted.

 

If I select "Modern Style", there is a better contrast. This is what I'm using as a workaround.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, if you wish to have a better contrast on highlighted tile. You can apply menu background. And you should see something like screenshot below. Do know you can load any other custom image that you like.

Thanks for the response. I have found a workaround which is to use a different theme. I was trying to let you know that I think that this is a usability issue on the app that perhaps your development team might want to address, as the out of the box experience when using Windows 11 style is not as good as it can be.

That would all best based on the users system/start11 colors and transparency settings

At present, there is a hard-coded colour which probably only works if the user is using a dark theme.

The modern style uses the accent colour.

We do not use this for the Win11 menu as the native menu does not use colour for those. 

That said it looks like Microsoft added an edge to the keyboard focus now for the menu to make it more obvious so we should look to do the same.
