Request: Minor Race Difficulty Options

I haven't played much of GalCiv since my purchase, because I've been waiting for the minor races to be addressed.

So, I'll just make the request myself: Would it be too much to implement some pre-game control over the minor races? Among them - Who can show up, (Particularly, disabling the Indep. League) minor race difficulty level, and minor race abilities (I.e., keeping them from building super planets with super fleets that devastate AIs on the lower difficulty levels.)

yes the minor races are far to powerful when you play anything below simple difucalty....and it would be very usefull to be able to get rid of a particularly anoying minor race

While you are waiting, Ozar, you can try some tactics to deal with the minors.

Easiest one is to sell techs to them for cash over long periods. Doing it repeatedly would basically bankrupt them unless they trade alot.

Or bribe them to go into wars. They don't believe in defence and you could take them out of existence if you like.

The other event minors such as the I-League and the Fundamentalists are much tougher to deal with but if you really hate them, use Autosave and reload so that their event doesn't appear. Should work.

Hate to do this, but I really want this implemented.

I bribed the Alexians to attack the Carinoids once. After a long war that resulted in the depletion of both economies and militaries, I conquered them both.

It seems like there have been several requests for difficulty options unrelated to AI intelligence.

- Frequency/severity of random events. Especially, the "draginol", "artifact of increasing power", "new minor civ", "pirates", "trade assassination -> instant war", and "boosted PQ".

- Frequency/severity of morality events, both colonization and post-colonization.

- Intelligence/power of minor civs. Power of new minor event.

- Anomaly distribution, and frequency that anomalies respawn during the game.

- Ability to specify AI intelligence independently of other economic bonuses or penalties the AI players get. Ability to more finely tune AI bonuses, especially between Genius and Incredible.

- Number of resources on map.

- Overall rate of tech progress.

- Frequency of UP meetings.

- Amount of cultural dominance needed to flip a planet.

- Ability of human player to take more or fewer than 10 racial picks at the start of the game.
