Screenshots??

Is there a problem with the screenshot library. It seems that in the last month, when and if there is a new one uploaded, it soon disappears. The totals keep changing, but it doesn't seem to have any new ones. I checked my preferences and made sure that I could see ratings of 1 and above, but this did not affect the 'problem". Could this possibly be part of the server problems you have had of late. I miss the screenshots. I find them quite inspiring and I am having withdrawal.

I like em too....but it seems that most (certain) people don't...so, don't expect a quick solution to them just yet....

Only screenshots rated 8 and above show, 'tis a gremlin in the system...

When the servers started crashing to save bandwidth WC started only showing SS with a rating of 8 and above. Also the last most recent server crash over the holidays took out some ratings and download stats I believe. (Stuff could only be recovered to the last backup before the SD staff went on holiday break.)

I also uploaded a Screenshot it was approved and given a rating of 6. The link they sent me took me Right to my submission. However, with Screenshots of 8 and above being the only ones being displayed in the library no one will ever see it

. What is interesting though is if you search for a specific author ALL sreenshots for that author will appear.

It makes sense in a wierd way. If some just wanted to look at the best then you just click on the screenshot button and see the best. the problem is this initial rating that determines whether or not the skin will be seen intitially is rated by the admins and moderators. Since the only way to see the skins that are under a 8 is to click on the authors profile then a lot of skins that a lot of people might think is good enough to get an 8 or better rating won't because they won't even know that it is there.

I don't have a problem with the way they do ratings, as a matter of fact I think they do a GREAT job considering all the uploads for all those libraries they have to handle. However, if they only what to display ratings of 8 and above maybe they shouldn't accept anything lower.

The screen-shot problem is due to a glitch in the system not policy. It will be fixed when time allows
