object desktop won't skin my mozilla browser

stop using mozilla.

I have Firebird and WindowBlinds skins it. Don't know why it wouldn't skin Mozilla. I think at one time there were problems in skinning it, but I think that's been resolved? At least, I see no default exclusion for Mozilla in WB.

What I found with firebird is that skins that only skin the icons allows for almost all of windowblinds features to work. the only thing I noticed that doesn't skin right are the menus and I barely use them. Get firebird its a better browser than mozilla and if you want the email capabilties get thunderbird. Just my opinion.

I found that the best one to work with windowblinds is safnbpl or safplnb (forgot the spelling)

i'll pop a question in this as well..

Xero's got a screenshot of explorer being skinned like safari.. anyone have any idea what he used to apply that? i know webblinds is no longer available, having been integrated into windowblinds. but of all of his mac skins, nothing has changed explorer.

You can try this.........

From the WindowBlinds folder, open the wbdbg.ini file. There are apps excluded in there that don't appear in the configuration dialog. Mozilla is in there. Edit the entry;

;Mozilla - skins itself, can be removed from the exclusion list
[mozilla.exe]
ActiveFix=1
IgnoreApp=1 (change this to IgnoreApp=0)

.....................if it causes problems change it back to the default setting

I had the same problem. The latest release of WB automatically excludes Mozilla. Here is the easy fix...

right-click on your desktop and click properties.
click the appearance tab
click the windowblinds button
on the right, click user overrides, you'll see a list of apps represented by 'x' icons. Highlight the one for mozilla and click remove.
click apply changes
click close
reboot.

User Overrides is on the left, and has nothing to do with per application settings .......... that would be the Per Application setting, also on the left. But doing it that way, you are also removing the "ActiveFix=1" and that might not be a good idea.
