transparent Start menu BUG

I’ve been having issues with a transparent Start menu for a long time. I’m using the latest version of Start11, and very often the Start menu becomes transparent. You can also see this happening while you’re gaming. When you hover your mouse over it, you obviously can’t click anything, but as soon as you press the Start key on your keyboard or click the desktop, it works again and disappears for a moment

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11v2 full version number.

Thank you,

First, please try this. Please try, uninstall Start11v2, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products . Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Thank you,

’ve always had this problem. Not long ago, I reinstalled Windows 11, and even redownloaded it again afterward. But the issue started to really annoy me, so I decided to report it.

I made a video..

Have you done those steps I mentioned above? If you did, next, please try this steps: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1334935592/Start11+Clean+Boot.

Clean boot is to find out if there is other application running in the background that causing the issue. Please note that Clean boot steps need to be done with care. Follow the instruction carefully.

Try it and report back.

The first thing I would try is disabling the animation option in Start11.

This can be found by clicking the configure menu option, then customize menu visual appearance, and then it is an option under Change visual effects on the menu.

Thanks!!

THat seems do that trick! I applied the previous step and also disabled the animation right away — so much better and more responsive! Thanks for the trick, “I must say, however, that it’s quite difficult to navigate and locate everything
