two monitor, different wallpaper..... is it possible??

it is possible..check your display settings.try looking for an advanced settings tab something to do with allows dual displays on monitor type thing

like right click on the destop, than properties, and than settings, and advanced??? somewhere in there, cuz i looked in there and haven't found it.

You could use a whole screen desktopx object as wallpaper, however.

HM does desktopx support multi-monitor now-days?

Just a thought, but why not take the two wallpapers you want, and make one graphic of them with the left monitor pic on the left half and the right monitior pic on the right half?

i was thinking about that, but it pushed the picture togethet.....

not if you do it right..
Set both monitors at the same resolution.. (assuming 1280x1024 in this example)
Create a new blank pic at 2560x1024
Open the pic you want to be on the left, copy and paste it at coordinates 0,0 in the new pic
Open the pic you want to be on the right, copy and paste it at coordinates 1280,0 in the new pic.
save and set it as your wallpaper.. tiled mode. You probably had it set as center.
I've done it several times and I know it works..

not for me.. wall paers always center on each screen. probobly something in hydravision that will do that.

im not able to set both monitors to 1280x1024 i can do this 1280x1024 and 1024x768, and the only one i can get to be the same is 1024x768 and 1024x768, but i don't like that size, small. is there a way to get them both 1280x1024???

If both monitors accept that resolution and your video card can set both monitors to display that resolution then yes. Otherwise you're up the proverbial creek without a paddle.
Maybe a small investment in a new video card wouldn't hurt...

Why do you use Hydravision?  Do you use any of the features?

What video card do you use?  I have seen many multiple monitor setups that use more than one wallpaper.  however, it depends on the video card/driver that you are using.

karma, i used to use hyrdavision with either of my two ati cards.. all in wonder 128, later on the radeon.. tossed it a long time ago because it 'caused some minor but annoying problems with dialog boxes and what not in my pallet-heavy programs - most notably installshield would always be funky.

it was handy for keeping information locked on the screen you were presently using.. ie, if i pulled a program to screen #2, menus and windows related to it could be centered on wherever my cursor was at the time, or remain on that proram's screen, or always appear on a monitor of my choice. it had options like 'keep a window completely on one monitor or the other', and had many .. you sould say .. 'windows fx' options for transparency, shadowing, and what not. on the hardware side it gave additional support and options for multiple monitor displays. it also had multiple desktop modes before windows xp, but i could be mistaken about that.

can't get split wallpapers on either my radeon at home, or on my nvidia at work. 8500 and geforce 4 mx, respectively. if anyone figures out a solid way to do that i'd be much appreciative.

Aspp, I'm not sure if this will work or not, but, Do what Phonn said, but, for the smaller resolution, just scale the pic down to the smaller size, and then expiriment with putting it in different corners of just a black square until you get one that works..

I am no techie so Im not quite sure exactly you are looking to achieve but what I think you are looking to do can be done with Desktop x. Just make each wall image a seperate object running on the same main theme. You could layer them, move them around, add sound,even make them desktop icons, etc. I did it a while back and it worked pretty good. I hope this helps.

IT's dependant on your monitor... Make sure you dchange yours to what it is or try
plug-n-play monitor.....

The Gforce drivers have mulitview settings with in their drivers.
Use their control panel...
ATI has Hydravision.
The suggestion of 2048x100 (whatever) and creating a wallpaper is abit extreme
when byouj can use just a few button clicks with your video software drivers...
