Adobe Photoshop CS

I just picked up a copy of Photoshop CS, an upgrade from Photoshop7 [which I normally used...]
- But I'm wondering how, if at all, you import all of your old custom patterns to CS from 7.0???? Any ideas??? I'd hate to lose them all because of an upgrade. hehe

Find the folder your patterns are in and just copy them. They should still be there with the upgrade, but to be sure you can still back them up.

you can copy them as suggested, or depending on how many ado and aco files you might have you can create a folder off ot the adobe directory for them and then load them as needed...

I have so many shapes, styles, aco, ado's that is I just put them into their respect folders I can not view them all and it is a pain in the back side, so I set up :

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Color Books
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Gradiants
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Custom Shapes
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Styles

and so on and then load as needed....

it also makes it so I can move back and forth between versions without have copys of the same files all over my drive.

What I did, to be on the safe side, was to copy the folders to my desktop before I installed CS. Then when it was installed, I just moved it to the folder in CS. I don't believe it saved the presets or plugins when I upgraded.
