Widescreen recommendation?

At work, I'm lucky to use the 20" Apple Cinema Display. It's really nice to work with, because you can have all the tools on the sides and concentrate on the important stuff in the middle. I'm probably gonna make my company's new website, and in reward, my boss will get me a LCD monitor. I just don't know which one to choose.

Of course the colors have to be nice, sharp and reliable, as I'm going to do plenty of work in PS. One option is ViewSonic's VP201s. It's got great reviews in several magazines in Denmark and people rate it high too on various shopping sites. 1600x1200 is a high resolution, but I would prefer a widescreen, but can't seem to locate "the one". The price would be around $1.600-1.800.

Can anyone here recommend one?

I haven't had the chance to play with any wide screen displays so I'm afraid I can't offer an opinion, but have you considered the use of multiple monitors instead?...with the right kit, you could have 4 smaller/cheaper LCD screens tiled side by side giving a nice big desktop for development work?

Just a thought...Ideally I'd probably opt to get a nice big widescreen if the money were there though and add some small screens later from "petty cash" or the store room

I don't think I'd dig multiple displays. Someone here must have some experience with widescreen displays for PC?

You can use a Mac monitor on a PC. No problem there.
