Clairvoyance Beta 2 Gives Agentic AI a Workspace

Stardock today released Clairvoyance Beta 2, the agentic-AI workspace where persistent AI agents live on the user's machine, learn from their knowledge bases, and run real projects end to end. Clairvoyance connects directly to the major AI labs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and GitHub Copilot), or runs entirely on local models via Ollama, so the work and the data stay where the user chooses.

The free application adds 5 major new features for Beta 2:

Knowledge-trained Agents. When adding a new agent, the user picks a knowledge base, and that base shapes how the agent works. A Writer trained on a "how not to sound like AI" knowledge base writes prose that doesn't sound like AI. A Reviewer trained on a team's coding standards reviews against them. A Researcher trained on a user's domain knows the jargon. The knowledge base is the difference between a generic agent and one that knows the work.

"Knowledge bases are the missing element from most AI workflows," said Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock. "Rather than running a skill after-the-fact, knowledge bases ensure that your agents start knowing where to look and how to function from the get-go."

Autonomous Missions. A Mission is a goal a user hands to an agent once. From there, the runtime keeps the work moving. When a worker finishes a todo, the next one spawns, and the cycle runs until the Mission ships. Beta 2 adds 14 archetypes (Implementation, Research, Community Management, and others) that shape the first sprint so it's productive out of the gate.

"The key element of Missions is that they give the user a great deal of control. AI still has a long way to go before you can just say 'go do thing' and go to bed," said Wardell. "Missions work with our new AI Sprint System so that the user is walked through setting up guardrails, knowledge base creation and running progress so that users can easily track how the overall effort is going."

Rich visual output. Agents don't just answer in prose. With Wireloom, they sketch UI wireframes in a fenced code block and Clairvoyance renders them as SVG inline in the chat. With Exhibits, they build interactive HTML artifacts users can run and share. With Canvas, they draw flows and diagrams. The conversation becomes the deliverable.

"Probably one of the first things new users notice about Clairvoyance is that Claude Code, Codex, etc. output looks much better," said Wardell "This is because AI agents output to DirectPanel, a rich surface that supports formatted markdown, HTML, canvases, and other visual mediums.  It allows users to be much more effective while also making the experience a lot more approachable."

Constellations. A new visual way to see how everything in a workspace connects. Notes, code, todos, and knowledge bases appear as a force-directed graph that clusters by shared thread and content type, so related work groups itself. Right-clicking any code folder renders it as a dependency map across TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Go, and C/C++.

"Constellations grew out of the note-era 'graph' concept.  When dealing with vast amounts of data, icons and detail views just don't quite cut it," said Wardell. "In Clairvoyance, the user can right click on any folder and choose Constellation view and see how different documents relate to others, including ones located in very different locations."

A real code editor. AI autocomplete and full language-server support for C++, TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, and more, with go-to-definition, diagnostics, and hover docs alongside the agent writing the code with the user.

"Our software is mostly written in C++ and we needed to make sure that own teams and our customers could use Clairvoyance to develop as effectively as other editors," said Wardell. "That means language server support, IntelliSense type features, AI autocomplete, not to mention a lot of enhancements that we usually end up having to dig through extensions in other editors being built right in."

Also in Beta 2

  • Browser access to workspaces and agents. Users can open Clairvoyance on the web work with AI agents that are located on their various PCs, Macs and Linux machines.
  • Domains for organizations. Admins distribute AI tokens to employees, create teams, broadcast announcements, and manage documentation across the company from a dedicated control room.
  • Credential Management. Users can securely store their credentials in the Clairvoyance vault where they are encrypted preventing AI agents from directly reading API keys or other sensitive data while still able to work with the services they integrate into.
  • Agentic Sprints. Users can ask agents to create and manage sprints completely with task states (Todo, In Progress, Ready for Review, etc.).  Clairvoyance agents already know how to use them, add comments to tasks and keep an active record allowing users to no longer worry about losing all their progress if something goes awry.

Clairvoyance is a free download.  Users of Stardock's Object Desktop suite get access to the Plus version which adds syncing, hosted AI, and preview versions.
