I decided to look at the AI beta. When I generated it, my picture showed at the top but the effects pictures all changed to a picture that is not on my computer and which I assume is one of your test shots.
That would typically happen if it was unable to load the image up.
One possibility would be antivirus locking access to the file when it tried to load it up while it wanted to scan it. What AV package do you use?
If you close and pick the image again from the installed backgrounds page, does it then load the mini previews correctly?
