It is not subscription.

It is like most of the other Stardock software in that you buy v1.x and it covers you for all 1.x releases.  Should there be a 2.x it would not be a free upgrade.

But the 1.x series would all be usable by you with no time limits.

I already have Start11 and Fences6 and their respective license approaches are different.

Start11 comes with a lifetime licence, but Fences6 needs to be renewed every year. That's why I'm asking.

I get that AltTabby is like Start11. Why don't they make this clearer?

Neil, is there a difference if Alt-Tabby is part of ODNT or if it's a stand alone?

Any product sold under a subscription has the word "Subscription" explicitly displayed at checkout.  As Neil said, the stand-alone AltTabby license does not have a subscription option at this time.

Currently, Fences and Start11 each have options for either subscription or permanent license.  Details are explained in this support guide:

The Object Desktop suite of products is sold as a subscription, which includes AltTabby and many other software titles.  As long as that subscription is active, you are ensured continued access to the latest generation of each included product.

These guides should help to clear up how this works.
