What is SDMCP.exe ?

What is this application, and why is it loading on windows startup?
Also why isn't it refferenced in the registry, as a run Item?
Does it have to run for WB to function properly? Which program does it belong too? I have all of the OD Apps, installed, yet I rarely use them, so why do I need 2 Mb or so loading? Thanks for any advice or information. You might want, to publish some of the background application, ifo, as all the REFs' I am Googling, are involved in Hijacked and Spyware Refferences. I understand it is probably not it's function, but alot of people do not read or seek, complete answers, but see the Googled link basics and assume the rest.

Thanks for any info

It enhances the loading of Stardock proggies on start-up and lends tray support to apps like DX.

It's not 'spying' on you

I didn't want to imply previously, that I thought that sdmcp.exe was spyware.
I pretty much new that it wasn't. I just wanted to get some additional, information on the application, as to its' purpose.

You can disable SDMCP from starting up by going to the SDC tools>settings>general and unchecking the two entries for MCP there.

Good Luck.
