Question regarding "major update"

Is there an unwritten rule of when one should check the "major update" box or is it up to the discretion of the author?

How about if you do a major update.If your just doing some monor thing or changing the discription, then I wouldn't. Just my thoughts.

Gee, thanks. I meant is the term "major update" up to the author or is there a general rule of thumb that differentiates between minor and major. Adding extra folders and some app icons to an iconpackage, for instance, versus overhauling all the file types.

Sounds logical to me WOM....

Keep in mind that any updates submitted within 10 days of the original upload, will not appear in the Updates list.

Well, yeah it's up to the author, but I suppose you could be over ruled by one of the Mods, if they thought it wasn't a major update. But there's no 'written in stone' guidelines. If you feel it's a major update, then it probably is.
