Windowblinds issues under SP2?

I am currently running WB 4.30.026 (fresh install) on WXP Pro (SP2). Windowblinds is not skinning my taskbar, nor my explorer windows. IE and most other apps seem to be skinned. It could be a SP2 issue, since I don't recall it happeneing before I installed SP2. Also have latest drivers for pretty much everything (Catalyst drivers, etc).

Luna under WB does skin all elements.

Also, under non-luna (or non-classic) skins, the root start menu displays, but the non-system submenus (programs/all programs, but not Control Panel as a menu) only display their dropshadows. Tooltips for icons on those menus show up as usual.

I have done an uninstall/reinstall. The non-skinning of explorer elements may hafve happened the first time I installed SP2 (I had to do a reformat for other reasons, not SP2), but the menus not displaying is new.

Any ideas?

Follow-up. I just went to wincustomize and when I selected "Open" instead of "Save" in the download dialog box, it opened another dialog box that just gave me the "Save" option. I saved it, opened the WBA file manually, got the tooltip asking me if I wanted to install. Clicke dthe tooltip, and nothing happened.

Further follow-up. I have windowblinds installed on a laptop that I upgraded to SP2, there are no issues on that machine.

Haven't tried to install WB after SP2 on any other machine, though

Ian you're obviously trying quite hard for the answer and doing so very tactfully. Different people have been having slightly differing experiences with SP2, possibly depending at which point they installed it. If you type sp2 in the search box above you will find it lists several threads, some of which may pertain directly to your experiences.

I found the answer on the newsgroups. It has to do with SP2 interacting with the A64's NX flag. Should be fixed in the next release of WB
