I have the version downloaded from Stardock Central (I have an Object Desktop Subscription). I'll let you know what is on the splash as soon as I log off and back on.

It is an object desktop splash screen. States that "desktop x is loading", even though I don't have desktop x running. Finally found a setting in stardock central - if I uncheck "Enable MCP smart startup" then the splash screen does not come up.

It was not noticeable prior to installing IconX. I uninstalled IconX and rechecked "Enable MCP smart startup" and it's not noticeable once again. Oh well....

Guess I'll stick with good old windowblinds coupled with icon packager. Not all that much need for changes in the wonderful icons that I'm using (kudos to TSF for the Alienware package).
