The Stickies need a floating Seperator or maybe a way to embolden the TypeFace.
I forget alot of time about the ability to have a different section, I am sure it is a common oversite. Maybe there needs to be some way to draw even more attention to the seperateness of the Boards?

I think that the Messageboard needs to have a page that comes up when you click on the "Messageboard" link at the top, asking what section you want to go to. RIght now you just go to the general board.

Lets put it this way:

No its not enough.

You get used to it though... but it would seem that more people are here and there is a tendency to post here.

I do not think the icon stands out enough, to make a difference. People who are new obviously do not understand its' meaning for darn sure, and by the time they do, it is too late. Since the Forum Defaults to this Board, and alot of folks stick to Defaults or do not investigate fully, they do not get past the front Door, so to speak.

One of the things that I've noticed is help can sometimes be slow in coming. I (yes, I too am guilty of this) have gotten much faster response on occasion here than I have on the 'Help' boards.

Or maybe it's just me.

no its not just you juryguy. that is why I said it seems better to post here because more people are here in the general board.

I actually think there should be two boards. one skinning and the general. 'help' can be merged into 'skinning' and 'skinning' can be more than just limited talk about tutorials but the skinning scene in general.

hmmmm.... well that is what I think. if I want to talk about mostly anything I come to the general board, but if I go to the skinning board, it will definaitly be on skinning and asking for help about skinning. I would rather post something about needing help to skin the FireFox browser on the skinning board then the help board

No, it's not 'better' to ask for help on the General board, but until people stop refusing to use it, the Help section will be visited by only a few, and responses will be slow because the few that do look there can't have all the answers.

I think wincustomize should create a site with links to 3 different forums ( general, help and skin ) links in it and make it the page people visit when people click "messageboard" link.

It'll all be different [read 'improved'] with WC2K5...aka WC Mk4....but this thread was just a general pique....

This might be good if there were some kind of clear indicator of the post topic,[ big red HELP! icon maybe?]something you had to choose when you posted.

I know that I've posted on the Help board and gotten no response, but [most] everything on the main board gets a response.

Maye pre-emptory page layered between the actual board, and your choice decides which direction you take.
