At the Republic I would like to begin recognising our extordinary members. Sephlock, currently our highest scoring member is todays focus. A reletivly new citizen of the Republic, Sephlock continues to support the Republic and for this is made todays citizen of the day!!

The locality empires (CSF, Euro, MWC and ANZAC) have a current combined Meta total of 1,434k.

The Theme Confederation would have to fight hard to beat that.

Well, if we called upon all the minors, and there are many, we may just be able to mount quite an opposition. We'll have to run this by everyone else when the rest of the Universe wakes.

Unfortunately, quite a few of our brethen are dormant. Yes, we should definitely invite the active minors to join the Confederation.

Ah, very enlightening. It is good to cast aside traditional Earthling ties to land and embrace philosophy. But which philosophy is right? Does might or faith determine the winner in the end? The oppressed have always believed in a divine power to grant them justice eventually, but the powerful have always believed that divinity favors the strong over the weak. How your citizens answer this question determines the destiny of your empire!

Why don't you change your nick to Cos Palpatine, fogman444? It's really painless.

The suggestion above from Ray the Wanderer has some merit. Fogman, I believe you yourself once mentioned a reworking of our empire icon. I think that the Fellopship of the Ring empire made a bold move in renaming their empire to bring more attention to their theme and gain the attention like-minded players.

Trouble is Ray, untill the game counter is fixed, no one will make rear admiral.

Oh by the way Gerrakin, Selling weapons to an empire we are at war with (they declared it) would be considered treason. A keelhauling offense.

I would put anzac more as a hybrid there. Anzac being not a locality but a fighting force. I certainly would not group them in with the other "join us just cuz you live here" lame empires. And unlike some, they have shown quite a bit of creativity.

Well, I certainly hope that it would be up someday. And I don't think the Republic wants too many "I'm the Eternal Being of Force" chaps running around anyway.

We need to recruit more members to our cause. Anyone have any suggestions?

But who says that they would necessarily be hiring the Rent-A-Drengin themselves? Someone else could hire the Rent-A-Drengin and then the enslavement, torture, and murder occur not for their own "motivation", but just to cause plain old pain and suffering.

I think if more people were aware of our Star Wars theme, they would seek us out. It's a marketing/brand image kind of thing.

Once a member of our empire gains a title such as Jedi, we should encourage them to change there screen name to match. For example I hope to change mind to Jedi Master LifeWish at some point.

Since you're considering changing your empire's icon, why not use an obvious Star Wars icon?

Why Gerrakin. You of all people should know this is a trade good. We have a monopoly on its distribution. Your invention of those shock control collars with us keeping the ultimate override control boxes was genius.

Republic. We have received your armistace offer. We are granting a temporary cease fire whilst the crew votes on a peace treaty. In the event of said treaty, we shall return your refuges too you. They are alive and well. We aren't heartless. We housed em in our factories. And so they didn't get bored, we put em to work.

Yes, I did, however, I'v been having trouble locating one on the internet. There are hundreds of icons that say star wars, but I want to be a little more subtle than that. Any ideas?

As for the renaming, I think I shall be doing that in the near future, however, it will stay true to its name. I think the new name will be The Old Republic. This gives quite a bit more info on what we're going at.

At Pontius, good to hear, we are finally making progress towards an organized effort against the Locations.

I can do some pretty decent graphics editing. Let me know what you are looking for, what size and file format it needs to be in and I can whip up some examples.

As far as the name goes, I like the idea of making it more Star Wars specific. My greatest fear is that someone else will start an empire called "Star Wars Empire" (boring name but it communicates a lot)and people will flock to it not realizing that we were here all along. "The Old Republic" means something if you already know our theme, but I don't feel that it communicates what are theme is. I do like the idea of keeping the "Republic" part in our name, though.

May I suggest "The Republic Jedi Council" as a new name? But then that leaves out those who wish to play as evil... :notsure:

Ok, I will think somemore, and do a little investigating on the internet.

On the logo, its has to be 32 x 32 pixles and in .jpg file format. As for what the logo is, again let me do some investigating..

We have our logo, LifeWish, but it needs to be downsized to 32 x 32, I can do it but you might be able to make it look better. The original image is 45 x 45 so it won't be too disformed. Give me an email or something and I'll send it to you.

Can you send it to members so we can see what it will look like?
