Greetings, old comrades. Though I might carry a katana these days, I still have to look out for the old mates. I scoured the Web for saber handles back when I was doing the original site. I came up with these options, all nice and neat:

Kryo, you should be able to just trim these in Photoshop using a freehand mask and scale them to suit.
A couple of the current saber handles are modifications of these originals - KEmperor has a recolored version of Maul's, for instance. So, if you don't like any of these completely, Kryo may be able to tweak it a bit.
