Your site account now has article permissions. If you can find your way to the posting page everything should be (mostly} self-explanatory. Can't be too hard if the other concilors figured out how to post news, which goes basically the same way.

If you run into any trouble let me know and I'll walk you through it or just fix it up myself with the trusty old admin edit button

Guys a couple of questions

I am having trouble loading the latest succession game, it plays for a couple of turns and then crashes, any ideas? It also seems to put half our planets to building galactic guide book, which (unless you guys have worked wonders in your turns ) we haven't researched yet. Have we all got the same mods installed coz I think that changes the internal tech and build numbers. The mods I have installed are:

The force tech pack
Taquionic Field
Subspace Travelling
Good/Evil Improvement Pack
Advanced Transports and freighters

Plus I am doing our website article now and do you know of any cheap(preferably free ) programs which will let me create and save jpegs for the article pictures?

I sometimes got that problem when im transfering games from on cop to another too. I don't know why that happend, but i think it has something to do with differing mods installed, dunno which Arclit uses, but ours are mainly the same (exeps some political partys)

Don't worry I ahve found something that should do the trick: Paint Shop Pro.

The first version of the succession game article is up on the website, Arclite and Icho I have based your submissions on what you have emailed me, feel free to email me more!!! Any hints/tips/bits I should change please feel free to tell me either by email or post it here.

You know what... I have TONS of MODS installed on my CPU. (Thats how I keep the game interesting) I guess I should have paid more attention to the threads you guys made about what MODS you had on yours. I'm not sure what we should do about this. I could zip the mods and send them to you. Not sure what else to do cause my MODS are ALL in the Galciv\Data folder. Hard to distinguish which ones are original and which are MODS. Sorry guys... :notsure:

Also to add to this Exar Kuun has also started a Succession game in which he, Icho Tolot, and I have participated in. Now he is even doing a write up on it. I belive that he deserves to be put in a position of power.

Well... I just realized something. I would have to also give you the GFX Folder. Not a problem right? Well... with both folders zipped weighs in at 127MB. So... what should I do?

Kryo, I need a little bit of help, I have added images to the succession play article but I need to upload them on to the server to get them to display and it won't let me (:( can you help?

You might make a second installation (other dir), only containing our mods, might eventually work.

Hi Arclite, I think I have a solution bit tricky, do you play with mods always on? If so then this should work, put all of your mod files in the mod directory but in the normal Galciv data directory only put the mods Kryo and I are using, when playing the succession game go into options and turn mods off, when playing a normal game go into options and turn mods on, should work!!! Then go back to the succession game Kryo sent, you replay it with mods off and send it to me

If not then I think Icho's idea of two installations is the way forward.

The problem with this is I'm not sure which are MODS and which ones are the regular files (because they are in my Data folder NOT MODS folder). I'm going to try just sending just the MODS and not the GFX folder. See if this works because I've been playing with MODS so long that I have a routine to my playing style. I don't want to mess up our first game. If this doesn't work, I'll try installing a second copy.

Ok... I sent it... and twice to one of you by mistake.

Sorry changed last post, downloading anything up to 1Gb not really a prob.
