Welcome all new comers, I've been away from my PC for two days. Do I have to DL stardock centural to get 1.10, or are they gonna provide stand alone DL?

Also, just in case I miss 22nd election for senate, I wouldn't be running but I'd like to vote for KEmperor, and Admiral Sherbert.

One other thing I noticed was that I could not flip the very last planet of the last opponent. They would flip one of my planets (even though my culture was through the roof) and I would flip what was once their last planet. Anyone else experienced this?

I submitted 27th game this morning and it shows I got about 3000 metaverse score(which is about right because I got 13700 score), yet I can't see my 27th game... Strange... :notsure:
I gave up on metaverse score now. I will just play for fun from now on. (Heck with the scores.... I'm getting the point where I became a slave to the scores, forget it)

Well, anyway, I just started 1.10 today, just for 30 minutes. It sure look better than 1.05.

I just finished my first 1.1 game... what a difference.. I played it on tough.. (wanted to get the full effect of the better AI, and I relized that normal wasn't giving me a challenge anymore)

I set it up so the dregen and arcians were bright and the rest normal. and I thought I was going to have it easy cause I was the same alignment as the arcians and they took out the dregin even before I met them. and quickly took out the yor and the other guys. so basicly it was down to 3 civs....

boy was I ever wrong.. even though we were the same alignment and had a good trade relationship the arcians relized I was their biggest competition for resources and quickly found an excuse to go to war... it ended quickly in a peace agreement but for the rest of the game is was like that little breakdown started a rivalry that was only going to be solved by one of us dying... it was a great fight... basicly 2 alliances duking it out...

most fun I've ever had...

it was like the creators managed to put a "just cause I hate you" factor into the AI..

Stardock has said that 1.10 uses an "adaptive AI" for the Arceans. Instead of following a pre-set tech path, it evaluates needs and then responds. If your experience is typical, it looks like the "adaptive" bit goes beyond researching...

Apparently you've already got your hands on 1.10, so downloading it is no longer an issue. Right now, it's only available through Stardock Central. Frogboy plans a standalone patch in the near future, though.

You really should consider throwing your hat in the ring for the Senate. You're active on the forums and in terms of submissions, certainly putting ME to shame! Like I said before, Senate rank is about giving a gesture of respect to those who contribute.

I do have a question though: I don't really understand how a given game's metaverse point is scored.
I just find it wierd that a tiny game I spent 3.5 hrs on actually got higher score than all the huge games I've played. And the deficulty level doesn't seem to have much of an impact on scoring.

Crazy Leg:

There has always been a very SMALL increase in Metaverse points for playing harder difficulty levels. Since the release of the expansion pack earlier this week, there seems to be a larger increase at Crippling and a huge one for Masochistic.

Looks like I'm going to have to try to bring up my difficulty levels again.

Just finished a small game on crippling, got <8000. So I guess the difficulty lvl and the number of turns took(I finished this one ~70 turns later than the maso one) are both big factors.
