If you have already submitted the game under another player name, your resubmission will be rejected. You can't recover that game without destroying your current account.

For the low down, check out this http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=80052

So when it asks for alias what do you put in? Your real name or your nickname?

Dark:

Click on your name in the post above - it's a hyperlink. Both your Player Name and Nickname show up as "Dark Assassin," so that's what you should use when you submit. Remember to add the space. I don't know if this is case-sensitive but the caps certainly wouldn't hurt.

Dark Assassin,
Obi Wan Kenobi is right. But for those of you whose Nickname is different from your Playername remember that Alias=Playername; and not either your Name or your Nickname.

Tony the Tiger,
Did you submit your score under a different playername 1st as Gengsta thinks you might have? If so this is the problem. If not, are you absolutely positive that you typed in "Tony Schuck" where it asked for your Alias on the submission screen. I know a lot of people think that Alias=Nickname (in your case Tony the Tiger)and type that in there. If you are using 1.05 or later you should have received a Submission Successful report after you submitted your game. Did you?

If none of these help I suggest you 1st Reregister your Playername. You can do this by clicking on your Nickname in your own post above, this will take you to a screen which gives your player details. Next click on your Playername, this takes you to the registration screen. Reregister as Tony Schuck. Next Search the Metaverse for the name Tony Schuck looking for "all scores". Does your game score show up. If not try submitting your game score again. Good Luck.

Tony the Tiger,

Oops I screwed you up, sorry. Do what I said but after you have finished reregistering "Tony Schuck" as your Playername you need to search the Metaverse under your Nickname "Tony The Tiger" not your Playername "Tony Schuck".

One final thing. If you did submit your score under the name "Tony the Tiger" (ie by typing in "Tony the Tiger" where it asked for your Alias on the Score Submission Screen)all is not lost. All you have to do is reregister (using the procedure I indicated above) except where it asks for your Playername on the Registration Screen type in "Tony the Tiger" not "Tony Schuck". This will make "Tony the Tiger" your active Playername (which also happens to be your Nicknmame). Your score should now show up when you do a Metaverse search under your Nickname.

I am having the same problem!
I have tried to re-register twice, to no avail.
I am hoping to find a solution too.

The Mule,

Are you having problems submitting your games or registering on the Metaverse?

You seem to be registered on the Metaverse already.

The Mule_ <- that's your player name right??

can you describe what you are doing in great detail?
Sure!
I finished my game and there is a save game called "endofgamesave" that the game made (autosave or something). (Originaly, I finished the game, looked at the stats and submitted my score to no avail).
I load the endofgame save and play the last turn. The game goes thru the end of game sequence and after the stats screen, asks if I would like to submit my score to Metaverse.
I input my player name (The Mule) and my email address(maybe all the extra room in the area to put your email address is the problem). Hit the submit button and get a message saying the game score was successfully submitted (Yes, I'm hooked up to the internet!) I check for my score, it not there!!!
So I go thru the registration process again.
When I hit the link to register, I get a screen that already has my player name (The Mule) and my game CD key entered in the necessary fields and the info is accurate. So I hit the submit button!
I've gone thru this routine half a dozen times... At least!

Did you key The Mule or The Mule_ (with the underscore)?

It has to be exact. If not, that game is now registered under the name The Mule instead of your The Mule_.
Did you try a new game with the underscore?

Your old submitted one is now tagged to "The Mule". You can only submit a game under one player name so submitting it again under "The Mule_" will not work.

Try this. Go to the Metaverse player registration page http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp and change your player name there to "The Mule". I hope it would help.

That worked! Thanks!!!
Now, which name do I enter when asked at the end of the game??

Also, why do my two games not add up correctly in Metaverse. Is the score an average or what?

I'm sorry, but with names like Tony the Tiger and The Mule, how do you guys keep a straight face?

What's that Wombie? Oh.

Ever read any Isaac Asimov (Foundation Trilogy)??

The Mule was a force no man could face.... Still smiling??? :)

You need to always enter your player name. Click on your profile hyperlink http://www.galciv.com/info.asp?accountID=655482 if you are unclear. To be absolutely clear here, it is "The Mule" (without underscore).

Your overall Metaverse score follows a basic formula of Total score of games / Sqrt (no of games). So for your case it is (2062+6240) / Sqrt (2) = 5870. There are also monthly blocks and decaying scores but don't worry about those yet.

Have fun with the game and if you are into empiring, do remember to check out the Fellowship of the Ring empire.

End of quote

It's more complicated than that. There is a thread that goes over the score system in great detail but I can't remember which it is.

The Mule: run away as fast as you can.

The Mule's ascendancy was short-lived though. Whereas you would wish to start a dynasty I gather.

I would love to, The Mule. :)
I'm a fantasy reader BTW.

Empires are guilds. The Metaverse allows individual Overlords (players) to band together under a common Empire banner. The empire scores are a summation of all the players' scores so every man counts. There is a Empire ranking on the Metaverse page.

We have different types of Empires in the Metaverse. There are theme based ones like the Fellowship (Fantasy), GROSS (Pirates), Jedi Republic (Star Wars) and there are locality ones which band people under a real life flag, eg, European Alliance, Canadian Star Federation, ANZACs and the Mid Western Confederation. There are also website based ones like Apolyton and GoneGolders.

I'm part of the Fellowship and obviously I would like you to consider joining us. You can visit our forum thread here http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=77385 (the thread's very long so just read most recent posts) and our website here http://home.earthlink.net/~nascarfanatic

Killa Koala's from GROSS if you hadn't notice, The Mule.

He's a fantasy reader too. You should catch his stories that he has written here in the forum.

Well of course The Mule, you could also cast an eye over G.R.O.S.S. which are the pirates of space, sort of rebels like The Mule's forces were. Oh.

Killa Koala: You can run... But you cannot hide from the mind controlling of The Mule! ;)

Thanks for the info Ray, I'll consider the Fellowship!
