Intercepted live broard cast from a hidden survailence camera aboard "The A.S.S" installed by some other groups Spy who worked on her at her last manditory Multiverse inspection.

ANZAC closed Debriefing:

A lot has happened in the last 2 days
With the active recruiting, espionage, sabotage, and Rescue branches

at least 3 (that i know of at this point in time) of our X-Compatriots who decided to try it alone in their budding empire FF, have been persuaded to join GROSS. Our Emporer has just returned from being M.I.A and looks the worse for ware.. However He is alright. {BlueSteel nods towards Worty} GROSS also attempted to gain the services of another of our Collegues "Slitherin" however they were able to return to us {BlueSteel notions towards Slitherin} glad to have you both back..

Our Anti GROSS Propaganda seems to have had a limited effect so far..

Our Ranking in the MetaVerse has jumped back up to 7th thanks to the Return of our mates and myself..
This isn't enough to play a major role in the Multiverse Federated Empire Council.. so we need more Influence out there in the Metaverse

Spread the word to recruit Overlords.. All we need are Overlords who are capable of posting a score at least once a month and then we'll be right back up there with the elite.

Our HQ is now this ship we are now sinning in . "The ANZAC Space Ship", "The A.S.S." {bluesteel looks around to see if there are any smirks from the ranks... of which he is please to see that there are none} . "The ASS (Donkey,Mule,JackASS} was fundimental at Galipolli in the rescue of injured our mates in arms from the front line.. so she is aptly named..

Remember the ANZACS.. "Lest we forget" , let them be an insperation to us all in our Galactic Adventures
We currently have spies in.......

{A siren sounds and you see a lot of ppl running around..} and then the camera jostles around and then you hear "Sir.. we've found something.." you see my hand groap for the camera.. and then you get nothing but static....

Rainbird I can't argue with you on that point, your right . . . as far as I'm aware there arn't any active New Zealanders in our empire. And I've never liked the 'from the A.S.S' in our empire's posting thread title either . . . to be frank.

There must be a compromise though. As far as I know it's only possible to rename an empire via intervention from stardock if it can be done at all? Whats more there may be (contrary
to my knowledge) a New Zealander or two somewhere in our ranks that we're unaware of. The big problem with us all heaping together in your new empire is that probably half the semi-active players will be left in a state of confussion (remember the freedom force fiasco FFF no offence intended Wild Wombat) . . .

? ? ? I'm keen to know what you all think :notsure:

Sorry to butt in to an Aussie discussion but the above is not true. The Emperor gets to change the empire name. Notice the Fellowship/White Council change.

Cotal, renaming an empire isn't a problem. Yoda was able to rename the Republic as the Jedi Republic, and I assume Ray did the same when the White Council morphed into the Fellowship. So, BlueSteel should be able to do the same for ANZAC.

Though I must say I'm disappointed you didn't consider the Jedi...(sniff)

I think I can change the empires name... however the ANZACS is an appropriate name.. it was after all one of the first empires in the Metaverse..

None taken, and good luck to you. Yes, communication is a significant issue if you feel that there are a number of 'sometime' players. Aussie Republicans, for example, also contains pghowlett - hasn't submitted for over a month. Do you hang around, waiting for him/her to read the boards?

As I see it, there are now four active ANZACs - Cotal, Steve, Blue, Jeff and two Republicans - Rainbird, never-never. Sensible to coalesce into one empire, isn't it? But what do you do about the others who log on down the track? There is no great answer, Cotal - I think you just have to decide what is best for those who are around, and who have a common purpose.

I have to say I like the Republican icon better, though! Good luck in your deliberations! :)

I've just checked it out.. and YES i can change the empires name... However this is something not to be taken lightly.. As far as I can See it would have to go before the Senate and get a unanamouse vote to pass .. then comes another question what to call it..

I for 1 at the moment am still voting for ANZAC but i can be talked into it if there is enough ppl voting for it..

Well its all about give and take . . . I'm not out to convince anyone of anything. But I was just stating the obvious regarding a communion of players . . .

Regarding Empire name changing . . . I didn't know an Emperor can do that! Wow . . . What other omnipotent
powers do Emperors have? Just curious . . .

Obi Wan please don't feel that way I'm a closet Star Wars Junkie (always have been) . . . and anyway you seem excited at the prospect of some more competition!

Edit - hard to keep up here . . . hehe! I'm behind the general consensus 100%. If we comteplate a name change the Republicans would definately have to figure prominently in the discussion. From what I've seen they seem indifferent to the whole idea thus far . . . which is kewl either way. Therefor Problem solved . . . no change . . .

Unfortunately I'm on a dumbie work terminal and can't MSN or use Stardock Central's Chat . . . bummer. We'll have to discuss this in clear view of those snippers! Here's a Kevlar Vest! Might come in handy!

Ouch . . . those slugs still stings a little, hey I just brough these new jeans, mellow out Mr. Sharp Shooter . Right in the Ass! LOL

holistically, this is how i see it:

the tendency appears to be a movement away from the geo-political entities toward theme based entities

however, a geo-political entity might still have an advantage for recruiting newbies who don't fish around on the forum first (much like myself).

but, we have to keep the oldies happy too.

ANZAC is one of the old empires and should be respected. however we could have a name that is more themed based and keep the flag, or change the flag to theme-based but keep the name.

the eternal compromise?

i'm quite happy to discuss something more revolutionary BUT it has to be something that is not confusing to members.

whatever happens, it HAS to coincide with a series of remarkably funny stories....

The whole point of the game is to have a good time, and you should be where you feel most at home, Cotal. Competition is good, and this should definitely liven up the chase after the Euros. But I'm reminded of that old curse - "May you live in interesting times!"
