ANZAC closed Debriefing:

A lot has happened in the last 2 days
With the active recruiting, espionage, sabotage, and Rescue branches

at least 3 (that i know of at this point in time) of our X-Compatriots who decided to try it alone in their budding empire FF, have been persuaded to join GROSS. Our Emporer has just returned from being M.I.A and looks the worse for ware.. However He is alright. {BlueSteel nods towards Worty} GROSS also attempted to gain the services of another of our Collegues "Slitherin" however they were able to return to us {BlueSteel notions towards Slitherin} glad to have you both back..

Our Anti GROSS Propaganda seems to have had a limited effect so far..

Our Ranking in the MetaVerse has jumped back up to 7th thanks to the Return of our mates and myself..
This isn't enough to play a major role in the Multiverse Federated Empire Council.. so we need more Influence out there in the Metaverse

Spread the word to recruit Overlords.. All we need are Overlords who are capable of posting a score at least once a month and then we'll be right back up there with the elite.

Our HQ is now this ship we are now sinning in . "The ANZAC Space Ship", "The A.S.S." {bluesteel looks around to see if there are any smirks from the ranks... of which he is please to see that there are none} . "The ASS (Donkey,Mule,JackASS} was fundimental at Galipolli in the rescue of injured our mates in arms from the front line.. so she is aptly named..

DAY 10 THE WEDDING.

Day 9 passed with few incidents. The Booze stores had been raided again but that's about it. But this was Bluesteel's wedding day. The Bride was pretty, Bluesteel had seen to that. She had been converted from a lady of the evening to a lady. All the preperations had been made. It was to be a glorius wedding.

Here comes the bride played as Bluesteel awaited his queen. Hmmm she's gained just a lil weight thought bluesteel, But he didn't care, He knew how drop dead gorgeous his bride was.

Dearwe bwoved. We are gavewed heaw today................

"I'm gonna have to replace that Cardinal" thought BlueSteel. The wedding went off without a hitch, It was a beautiful ceremony. "Finally, G.R.O.S.S. didn't ruin something, " bluesteel thought. And unlike most queens, this one's pretty and actually will put out!!! Ha! Such an emporer's life!!!.

Bluesteel looked again at his bride. Boy she has gained some weight. Then he lifted her veil.

Bluesteel closed his eyes (he was a closed eye kisser) and gave his new bride a smoooch. "That's odd bluesteel thought, her skin wasn't as soft as he thought it would be."

Bluesteel opened his eyes.

Once out of the wedding chappel, Bluesteel knew he was in trouble when his new wife picked him up and carried him over the threshold. "Time to consumate this thing dear, she said and laughed" Some good man dressed in red with a cutlass gave us a free trip to wrigley's honeymoon planet. Into the spaceship she carried him. Bluesteel just shuddered in her arms. He knew he was in deep trouble with no way out. on this his first day of honeymoon.

No, mean a uni. I'm serious. If I study in the states, California is my preference just because it's closer to Asia. So what does Oz or NZ have to offer whe it comes to political science and international policy? - an open question to all. :)

i'm sure they'd be some top-notch courses, but am not qualified to speak - i could have a sniff around. check out the internet. Melbourne's got some good uni's - Melbourne University, La Trobe University, Monash University, RMIT (not sure if they do what you want)...i'm sure some sydney-siders will fill you in on NSW.....lemme know

GalCiv forum develops into an international university information desk - news at eleven...

Rather than try to navigate my tipsy... uh... brain through the internet, I'll juat ask some questions here about Australia's and New Zealand's university system:

What are the opportunities like for international students? (citizen/foreigner tuition comparison; availability of institutionalized programs for foreign students)

Are "Master's Degree" programs available? (some countries don't have six-year programs - I'm finishing up my fourth)

Does anyone know about a specific China-related project in progress? (this is specificaly what I'm looking for)

Uh... so any kind of response... um... might get me to join the ANZACs... HA! No, I'm G.R.O.S.S. through and through. Any response, even if it's outside the questions I struggled to pull in, would result in much karma harmony from my spirit. :)

Kit - Aussie universities these days have recognised the value of international students. I'm slightly cynical about that - it's the value of the fees they pay that's made that happen. Tuition would no doubt be higher for foreigners. Here we have a system where new uni students undertaking their first tertiary degree are required to pay HECS (a scheme of payments for part of the cost of their degree, that starts after they graduate and begin earning a wage, administered through the taxation system). Foreign students do not, as far as I know, have access to that - foreign students are generally called "full fee paying students", meaning they cop the entire cost of the degree.

I suspect that you would still find paying for a course here (depends on the subject, of course) comparable to institutions in the States. Masters, Ph.D and post-doctoral programs would be available in virtually any discipline. The staff in your current institution may have contacts here and it is worth asking around your home institution. Can you give an idea of your discipline and what you want to do? I mean, I understand the China bit - but WHAT in China?

Ay curumba! You want my whole thesis paper! Heh... ;) not really.

The specialty that I'm trying to develop revolves around Mainland China's issues with Taiwan. I come at it from political science and international affairs bases. I'm working on improving my language skills (in Mandarin Chinese) because I believe direct contact with China is the key to accurate analysis.

My interest in Australia and New Zealand results from a desire to be closer to China, based in an English speaking environment, and (most importantly) a laid back atmosphere.

(how can I communicate like this after four bottles is beyond me)

Evil Steve, you may have got up everyone's nose but in a loveable sorta way.

I've observed that every Southern pirate seems a bit tender when it comes to being prodded about: ANZAC spirit; nationalism; desertion; convicts; our supposed 'role' in GROSS; etc. Of course, what do I know.

Still, you stir at your own risk. Sorta like caveat emptor, but more like 'let the stirrer beware'. And heavens, do I know about that. ;)
