"Universal Literary Awards"

The Fellowship of the Ring Empire, the most culturally advanced empire in the known universe, announced earlier this week that it will be granting awards for best literary piece across the Universe. The award, "Alterian Star Award", is named in memory of the Alterians who were conquered and enslaved by the G.R.O.S.S.

Awards include a 3dvd of the "500th Anniversary Edition of Lord of the Rings Trilogy" and a months vacation to "Water Park Sector 20,4"

Up for nominations are the newly released novel by Drengin Lord, Sir Daed Tibbar's "Zen and the art of Slave Trading". It's too bad that Yor literature is hard for most non-Yor to appreciate. Unless painstakingly decoded by hand, it has to be ran through a computer and Yor loses a lot of meaning in the translation. The elegance of "upgrade your logic paths" gets turned into "get a bigger processor" and could be perceived as insulting if taken in the wrong context. "Take a cycle for reflection" becomes a highly inaccurate "think about it for a second". It is indeed sad that the Yor are so misunderstood. No wonder no one respects them and they usually do not get very far in the cruel realities of space.

Actually I have always heard Yor novels are participatory, they get a bank of switches, and the lights go on and off in patern. That they do it so often and seem to be amused by it so easily might explain why they are so often conquered first.

Of course there may indeed be other reasons.

Oi! The Yor have enough trouble ruling the galaxy - they don't need to be forced to read additional malformed writing.
