ok, here it is, the Illuminati communication thread!

a lot of people has been asking when we will put one up, so, here it is. we have finally made it to the galactic map (thanks to Treylis for his high scores), and one of our members has made it to the top 10 players (again, thank you Treylis).

I see what you mean, his site talks about Dune and Shadowrun mostly. Certainly it doesn't seem to even mention GalCiv. I've added his ICQ to my Trillian contact list. He's not there at the moment, but I can be online at odd times so you never know...

Okay. I'm new here, so there a still a few things I don't understand. I'm looking at the legend and notice that I have been promoted to Lietenant. The medals and overall morallity legends are self explanatory. How do the ranks work?

Maybe I should have started a new thread for this...

Another reason I joined illuminatus is because it suits my gaming style. I tend to try and win by influence at the moment, don't bother with warships much. In my current game I am a pure evil (morality 0 demonic) pacifist party. I haven't fought a single battle, but already star systems are turning round to my way of thinking... ;)

Regarding the ranking I have the understanding its bases on a cumulative total of your score submissions try the search box, it should turn up a few things!

Well, if you move your curser to medals and ranks it will say something like commodore, top25, 5 game winner, 20 game winner, etc.

I think it only goes up to commodore fot the time being.

No seriously it doesn't do it for me! I've even looked in the source code, and the image tags have no 'alt' or 'title' attributes or any 'onmouseover' events that would trigger such a reaction. Nor is there any text in the source code that isn't already displayed on the screen.

No I don't use Macs, mostly I use Mozilla on Windows XP. But I also tried it with IE. Oh, and I also tried Mozilla on Linux. But I really don't see how it would make any difference, there is no mention of any hover text in the html or javascript when I look at the source of the page...

I'm just gonna have to wait for the expansion release. By the way, my next game is almost done. It should be reported by tonight. Too bad didn't have much time to play, it's a surviving world you know. Sometimes, I wish I have a goose that lays golden eggs.

I'm currently playing two games, one on a gigantic map, which will probably take a while, and a quicker one on a small map, which I hope to get done soon. Its just my birthday this weekend which means my social life is interfering with my gaming? ;p

I can only play about couple or three hours at the most. I don't have the black pond that brings the green, so I have to work to my bone all the time to see some green. But computer is always neer me so it's not that hard to sneak by in this forum. :HOT:

We are still ranked at 10th.

GammaSquad's got 293849 points which is about 100000 point ahead of us. Looks a lot but not impossible to take'm down.

CDG Creations are right behind us with 143691 points. They need about 40000 points to take us. CDG is not very active lately so I wouldn't worry about them. TerranFederation is right behind the CDG with score of 138006. We should look after them. Some of them are active again lately and submiting games.

Well I just finished the small game, which is my first game submission not as an evil military conquest. I won through an alliance victory with chaotic good alignment. Also slightly upping the difficulty level each game. Score not as good as on a large map, but every little helps as they say!

Nand, try resumit the game. Sometimes they don't go through, it happened to me once before. Resubmtting usually corrects the problem. :d
