Stardock Central now works properly. (scratches head)

I have no way to explain it off the top of my head, but Stardock Central, which I've been trying unsuccessfully for the last three weeks or so to get working again after I had to have my motherboard replaced, is now working properly again. Or maybe I do have an explanation, but I'm not sure if it's the right one. I was working on a different problem today (video capture) and in the process I swapped out my ATI Radeon 7200 video card for an ATI Radeon 9000 card that I had lying around - the same card, as it happens, that I had in place when Stardock Central and the release version of GalCiv came out in March. Aftre I put the Raeon 9000 into the system, I not only solved my video capture problem (after a somewhat ramshackle fashion), but when I started Stardock Central up "just to see if it works", it actually did work! I'm still scratching my head over this, but I wonder if part of the problem might not be that I have DirectX9 installed now and the Radeon 7200 isn't really capable of handling DX9 (at least, less capable than the Radeon 9000.) I don't know how much use,if any, SDC makes of DX9, so I have no idea if my supposition is correct. Any thoughts?
