Evil Empire's infernal thread

ok, i did it; the first evil-only empire is now open (to evil people only of course)!!!

the rules are simple, you must have an overall morality of ether "chaotic evil", or "very evil" -anyone with a good, neutral, or no morality (because they haven’t submitted any games yet), are not allowed to stay in this empire. every few days, i will go through the empire, deleting anyone who does not have an evil morality. if you are deleted, it does not mean that you are banned, it just means that i wont let you stay in my empire until your overall morality becomes evil again. members are still allowed to play and submit games with a "good" morality, however, just make sure that your "good" and "neutral" games don’t change your morality to anything other then "evil".

i will be looking for some empire admins once a few people join my empire. if you do become an empire admin, one of your duties will be to delete any "neutral", "good" and no morality members.

if you are evil, come join the metaverse’s first “evil-only” empire. who knows, you just might get lucky and become an empire admin ;)

im back!
sorry about the week of no messages, my computer died :(

last weekend, my monitor was getting no signal, so at first i thought it was the monitor. simple enough, i will pick up a spare monitor from my fathers -he lives about 2 hours away, so if i go down, i mind as well spend the entire day there. i get back, plug in a diff monitor -same problem. ok, im thinking it is the video card, good thing i had a spare video card that i know it works -plug it in, still no dice :(

now i know its the motherboard, however, before i do that i will try to reset the cmos. i do the cmos, but still doesnt work -however now the motherboard's power LED on the board burns out :sniff!:

ok, now i know its the powersupply, i open it up, and sure enough, one of the capacitors leads got broken off. my motherboard is toast, and very likely, so is my processor. mind as well get an entire new system. $$$$$$

now, just 2 hours ago, i got my new system. nothing special, however, it is pretty affordable for a student, i just wish it came with more ram however.

Greetings, evil ones. May I ask Bakka a question? Can your data droids determine the effect of the 1.1 release on frequency of game submission to the Metaverse? That is, I want to see the games submitted per week (or per day, if that makes more sense) to the Meta in the weeks leading up to the 1.1 release, and then the same data for the days/weeks AFTER the release. Personal interest only - I would have thought that there would be a spike upwards just after release, but I wonder if there are any other trends showing? If ya can't, dont sweat - thanks for thinking about it. Cheers, evil ones!

"Arr, maties. 'tis dark outside and 'em evil landlubers 'tis movin a'round." Wild Wombat murmered to himself has he left the presence of bakka and Fulgrymm

"Stupid pirates think they're so cool with they're stupid language and they're stupid accent. Arr, I could be a pirate." Fulgrymm stated to those who stood present.

"I wouldn't worry about them too much there Fulgrymm." Dark Assassin stepped from the shadows.

"Jeez, Dark you scared me." bakka stated.

"What do you expect. Wild Wombat was only interested in one thing, he likes your reports, well, but he underestimated they're importance to me but most of all to the EEHC." Dark crept farther from the shadows.

"Oh, yeah, and what interest would the EEHC have in my published intelligence reports?" bakka stood his ground.

"On the contary Mister bakka, it's not what the reports do for us but it's what the reports do for our enemies." Dark took one last step forward and stopped.

"What is that, Lord Dark?" Fulgrymm spoke for the first time in a while.

"You think about it Master Fulgrymm, I'm sure that a being of your intelligence will come to an correct answer. Although, after all, I am the brains behind our operation here." Dark started back towards the shadows.

"Operations? I wasn't aware of any operations." bakka questioned of Dark.

"Of course, Lord bakka, it was never to be this open. However now that I have your attention Hairy is looking to speak to you." Dark disappears into the shadows, bakka and Fulgrymm look at each other and wondered how he did that.

Later that same day...

Hairy hears a knocking on his chamber door, "enter Lord bakka."

"Greetings, exulted one, I understand you were wishing to meet with me." bakka looks quizically at Hairy.

"Of course, please take a seat. As you know, our enemies have learned to trust your intuitions when it comes to the metaverse, however they have not fully comprehended our reasonings for the open intel source. Now I have one thing to ask of you, Lord bakka."

"What's that?"

"When it comes to Wild Wombat and the G.R.O.S.S. pirates or anyone else for that matter, we need distractions from our real position. No one will know the fully scope of our plans." Do you understand Lord bakka?"

"Yes, my Lord."

"Good, dismissed." bakka stood and left pondering what exactly Hairy had planned. There wasn't any discussion among the EEHC about secret plans, but that wouldn't be the first time.

"Do you think he understands the importance of what you just said, or more correctly do you trust him?" Dark stepped out once again from the shadows.

"You know they're right, don't you?"

"About what, sire?"

"Your exquisite ability to show up when you please."

"Yessir."

"And yes, Dark, I trust him."

"I don't know if I trust him as far as I could throw him."

"Why is that, Lord Dark?"

"His track record."

*it's just a story bakka and Fulgrymm, nothing personal*

Congrats to Base Delta Zero on breaking 100k!!! You go!

On another note, I start at university on monday, so I don't expect I will get in much GalCiv for a while. Keep up the good, er, EVIL work! I'll get on the forum when I can...

New?! New?!

I'm just back in my rightful place, and on my way back to #3 where I was a couple months ago. And thanks to the masoverse it's now possible :D

And Nand1, keep working on those masos. It's only a matter of time before you figure out the key cheese to beating it ;)

Meanwhile, my fall from Chaotic Good Kryo to Neutal Kryo and hopefully soon Evil Kryo continues :HOT:

Bakka walks towards the Plasma screen showing all communications. Scanning the board he selects some out of date posts for removal and makes room for his report.
The screen blanks out and instead of his pride and joy slave driven report a sector map is shown.
"Hmmm Attack plans.. Cool"
Just as Bakka turns away he spots a small part of his report showing"
"Oh well. Better than nothing".

Wombie.

I'm couldn't do it. No matter how hard I whipped the slaves they would rather die than comply.

I don't keep all the screen captures so I can't go back and revisit the data. After sleeping on it I came to the conclusion that any thing I did with the current data would not give you an accurate picture of submitted games.
1. The individual data only does the top 100 which is sitting over the 50 000 metapoints now. There are alot of players under this level submitting games.
2. The Empire data capture a lot more games but it totally ignores all the lone wolfs. (4 empireless players in top 25 currently).

Sorry mate..

I beat maso the other day. With cheats and everything. It was interesting, even though most of them didn't get the chance to colonize any systems. Ctrl-U and Ctrl-Y are the most useful of the cheats.
Nothing says EVIL more than cheating, however it was my reasoning that you didn't get metaverse scoring for cheating. Although, yes Fulgrymm it would be fun, but you're not helping the EVIL Empire out when cheating. So here's my suggestion...play every other game straight, ie no cheating, then if you want you can cheat and kick some ass.

Granted, the best way to win a game is to tip the favor your way, like cheating, but isn't the best way to make it to #1.

It is if nobody knows about it. Like when you slip on invincibility in first person shooters and watch as the AI desperately tries to kill you. I already have a straight no cheat game going, i just wanted to try out the cheats without botching up my current game so I started a new one on maso. And *hopefully*, this will be the game that gets me to pure evil status.

The Universal answer to that is overclocking. If your pushing an Intel processor, boost up the FSB speed a bit and you're in business. If you have an AMD processor, you can do the same thing OR change the multiplier in the BIOS to make the processor faster. I can do that with mine, but I don't know if that actually applies to all AMD processors, I'm just assuming.
