Oops, wrong name...

This is because you can have different player names. Link your serial number to AntonChanning and your recently submitted game will show up.

Perhaps, they could change the system to reject player names that are not currently linked to a serial number and thus force players to do a proper s/n link first.

I thought you could only have one player name per serial number, so that if I linked my serial number to AntonChanning, I lose the game I linked to "Anton Channing"? In essense what I am saying is that the game should at warn you. A message like "This player name is not yet registered, are you sure you still want to submit y/n?" would be fine. That way those who really did intend a new player name can still do so...

You don't lose it but only one player name per s/n will show on the Meta. Yeah, quite a few players have lost games due to accidental miskey of their player name. That would be a good suggestion.

Well, I might just re-register my player name anyway, since the score I'm currently missing is higher than the one score I've currently lost...

Anton, how/what is this Suicidal difficulty setting you have on your first submitted game?

It is my understanding that sometimes games get listed on the Metaverse as Suicidal every once in a while. I even heard one time that it could be a Cakewalk!

Anton, you don't have to re-register your player name. You might lose your score for good. Just ask Frogboy or CaliElf to correct your submision or forget about your submision. I have lost first few submision when I first started metaverse just like you. It overcomes pretty fast if you keep play for a while.

Sure, I can guess. But it would be just that, a guess. The theory goes that a level above maso was considered, because maso does not require a full 5 incredible aliens right now, just 3 incredible and 2 geniuses. This level was never implemented, but someone going all fools for a cakewalk game sometimes rolls back the difficulty counter to this unseen suicidal level when the game reaches the Meta.

That game should have been a cakewalk. I didn't even know it was submitted successfully. I must have made the same mistake as I made on my third game. I have regestired my player name and apparently now have my first and third games, with my second game now missing due to it being on a different player name. My first game also seems to have the wrong difficulty level. I didn't notice at first because the score is more or less the same as my second game, which is the first one I thought submitted successfully.

That first game was slightly odd, in that I started it before I downloaded the bonus pack, and even finished it before doing so, although it wouldn't submit to the metaverse for some reason. So I downloaded the bonus pack and then it submitted okay, although I did notice my score was higher than before, I didn't realise that this was because the game got the difficulty level wrong...

I am 100% certain I have never played this game on 'suicidal'. Hope that clears a few things up.

That's probably the reason for suicidal level. A cross version calkwalk game.

You can't resubmit a game under a different player name. It's permanent unless you get divine intervention from SD.

As for the suicidal game. I notice it was submitted on the 23rd. 23 is a very 'important' number to the illuminati. There may have been some intervention from Eris...

Huh? I have not had any problems submitting games. Why couldn't you resubmit a game under a different nic? I save my game when I know it is at an end (not relying on the "endgamesave"). I finish the turn, get all the whoopla screens, and the metaverse submission box. The nic I use in game is not the nic my metascores are tracked under. Why wouldn't you be able to resubmit under the corrent name just by changing the "registered nic" name on the metaverse submit box?

The alias in the submission box should be the player name that you have registered/linked with your serial number. Yours is "couslee". However, if you decide to to submit game with alias as "viraxian", your game will not show up as long as you continue to register your s/n under couslee.

I understand that, but what I was asking, was why wouldn't you be able to re-load the last turn on the "viraxian" game and resubmit it under the correct name. (Considering there is not a change in the SN linked to either nic, it would not be flagged as someone trying to submit another person's games).

Another thing I don't see mentioned, and some other new players mught be curious, the name you use in the game itself does not have to match the name it is submitted under. In all my games, I use "Viraxian Ascension" as the empire, and "General couslee" as the leader. I don't use the "General" when submitting.

Not sure why SD does not allow us to resubmit under a different player name, couslee.
