It gives me great pleasure to Announce that the reconciliation and merger of the ANZACs and The Australian Republic is now Complete, NeverNever has signed all the merger Documentation and it has been Accepted by all those in the Australian Republic. The Documentation Signing was witnesed by many other Citizens of the Metaverse. It's like a who's who of the metaverse here tonight.

We still havn't decided on a flag but we are sure that we will come to a solution soon

It is a tremendous honour to be the emperor who has successfully inspired, negotiated and signed with the emperor of the Australian Republic this historic Document to bring the whole of Old Australia and NewZealand back together. {BlueSteel Shakes the Hand of Never Never for the press to take a photo)

I think that the waters are returning to their proper level now, I enjoy the game and I am playing for the fun, but I like the intrigue and the mistery and whatever else the future may hold ahead. So keep playing, it is sad to see good players getting upset or tired of playing the game, if you play just to achieve points in your score you miss 99% of what this game is all about. ;)

Cotal, it is a pity you did not stay long enough for the ANZACS to make top spot, even for one day.

I just posted another big score last night.. :)
still can't get it up to the 60,000 LOL

I just found out why... I'm getting too many techs through swapping.. when I used to play the games with less difficulty I used to never swap to get techs.. I used to search it all for myself, which on masso is way too hard to do.. because you'll fall way behind. (thats one reason that I did have difficultys beating masso.. until I stoped researching every tech and swapped for them)

Lets show them the ANZAC spirit again.. reminds me of a song sung here in Australia "We get knocked down, but we get up again"

dunno. i've emailed some of the POSSe, but got no reply. i'm assuming blue is on the case.

what would have been nice it for the POSSe to come back, Cotal to still be here, so that the old and new ANZACs reform. perhaps with new whatevers. but i think blue and cotal's 'blue' hasn't helped, and there is, i think, a movement towards something 'new'? i know i feel like moving on to something new - maybe an invite only, anzaccy theme thing? but i iz only little. maybe we should form The Gold Diggers - you could be Anna Nicole-Smith and i could be Ashton Kutcher...

At the moment you count more than ever - there's only 70000 points between empires in places 2, 3 and 4 - sufficiently small that players much further down the tree can have a significant impact.

Let me try to put all this empire-hopping madness in some sort of perspective here according to my observations. When one joins an empire, the people there have an expectation of fellowship. Folks here are very forgiving if someone has a crisis of conscience and goes neutral or joins another empire if they honestly feel like doing so, but when it is done at a whim, the feelings turn bitter pretty quick. Why? Because those team mates supported someone and expected the same in return. Rampant empire-hopping is seen as having "fun" at someone else's expense. Do these rapid-fire empire changes shake the Meta up? Yes, they sure do, but in a negative, destructive manner and not in a manner that makes things funner for what I believe is a majority of us. People tend to like stability over chaos. Occasional chaos is good, but not when it is done at everyone else's expense.

I apologize if I offended anyone by joining and leaving. The point I was trying to make was that GROSS was decimated by the change to 1.09. We lost almost all of our actives who were not ex-ANZACs. They came over from ANZAC, ironically, just before Blue Steel joined - because ANZAC seemed like a dead empire.

Of all the other empires, I've always liked the ANZACs best - so I wanted to show the POSSE that if they went back... I'd follow.

I think that between ANZAC and the remnants of GROSS - we'd have a great empire. I would like to see a merger, but I must admit I'd be sad to see GROSS go. (For that reason, if the POSSE does become ANZACs - I'd still like to see us keep our thread as a franchise. If any of you wish to join and take on an animal persona, I'd welcome that.)

I guessed some of the POSSE must have been thinking about returning, and I was trying to show I was with them. I am sorry if I offended you...

there is no offence caused if people inform others of their intentions - everyone is usually fine with it IMHO. i think the upset is caused by people just doin' whatever without the thoughtful act of informing and acknowledging their peers.

manners or lack of is the root of all the upset.

(The only reason I'm currently inactive is that I am at the age one calls 'teen' and am totally dependant upon my parents for everything and I have been getting C's in a couple classes. Basically, me grounded adn me stealing time by using neighbor's computer.)
