Where is BlueSteel..

After Long and deliberated thinking in his Royal Chambers BlueSteel (now a prisoner in his own palace) contimplates the offers from all the other empires that have approached him in the past.

With the lack of control over his Overlords due to the disapearance of his senators, the crowds of unhappy overlords have blockaded the palace and are unhappy with the way things have gone of late. and are Revolting. This isn't a local disterbance its empire wide.. Planets, nah.. whole galaxys are splitting away from the once proud empire.

BlueSteel isn't suprised by all this.. after all those bad dreams he'd been having in which he had seen this comming.. No matter what he did to try to keep the empire together it simply kept falling out of his grasp. For every step forward there had been up to 5 steps backward. He had done what no one had though possible.. Reserecting the empire not just once but 3 times.. While others did their best to pull the empire apart He and a few LOYAL Overlords stood their ground, Much to the metaverses amaizement and distain..

Was it now time to call it quits.. and count the losses.. After all, He had proved himself and many empires out there were requesting his services???

He had seen his own death in his dreams.. and it wasn't pretty.. He had hoped to change his destiny but alas all was for nothing.

The Angry crowds are now at the door.. what should he do.. Flee like the others before him to fight another day or stay and fight...

As the palace doors crashed open there was a bright light.. then nothing... Where am I he thought to himself.. I can't be dead.. I'm still thinking.. but all this light.. I can't see a thing.. I felt like i was falling... falling... it seems to go on forever.. My destiny had been taken out of my own hands.. someone or something, somewhere had removed me from the threat on my life.. But now I'm stuck in limbo, neither here nor there.. Where was I

BlueSteel, thanks for giving so much of your time and effort to the ANZAC cause. You certainly did a lot more for the empire than I did in my time as Emperor.

While it's sad to no longer have the ANZAC empire around I can understand how you feel. Even though it's just a game, as people point out, I'm not a huge fan of "empire hopping". I know that in recent times the changing of empires has mainly been intended as a bit of fun but it's still not my cup of tea.

Despite only making a handful of posts on this forum since hearing about GalCiv at the start of this year, I follow a lot of the threads (particularly empire related ones) with interest and I hope you continue being as active as you have been since you arrived here.

Good luck to you and the other ANZAC members and don't lose your enjoyment of the game.

BTW ppl.. if you really want the anzacs in the metaverse then you can stert it up again.. (or I might) I thought it was just a good way to end the empire..

Amazing. The empire everyone thought was dead says "fight on" and an empire that looked pretty solid folded. Did a couple of mercenaries switching empires for the umpteenth time do that much damage? Well, if you are going to quit so easy, then one might consider taking inspiration from the hard-headed pirates who still have not said uncle yet!

It was not an easy decision... please believe me.. I thought i was doing the right thing... guess i was wrong.. I know that more players outside the empire thought that the ANZACS were great.. and yes i got more support from outside of the empire than from within.. It appears that the empires demise has finaly woken some sleepers... I give the new ANZAC emperor my best wishes and good luck... after going down for the 3 or 4th time i thought that the Empire needed do go out in a blaze of glory rather than a quiet wimper..

No need to apologise to me BlueSteel. As I mentioned before, you were an infinitely better Emperor than I ever was.

Also, you give me too much credit by referring to me as the founder of the ANZACs. The idea was brought up by other people at the time...I was simply the one who pushed the "create empire" button.

Well, Bluesteel ol' pal, I can tell you this - no one jumped ship from old Europe. The new world may rise in capitalistic glory and crush down by a puny arab state, the remote world may have hopping rodents and a reasonable beer, but Europe endures. No one left, and because of that we are the fastest growing empire in the metaverse.

If you're truly tired of empire-hoping, come and rest a while. I could even cook you a koala as a welcome-home present.

I am utterly amazed. It was the Jedi Republic people were expecting to come apart; yet we have recovered(mostly) and are moving on. The ANZACs, however, were in solid condition, and they have completely fallen apart. It is a sad story.

BlueSteel, I invite you to help in the reorganizing of the Jedi Republic. I believe you will find some old friends in there...

I am actually from Adelaide which was never settled by convicts. Other Aussies may be descended from British scum-of-the-earth, but not South Australians! (Sorry Quack).
