Veterans or who should be?

Veterans or who should be?

In appreciation of the people here who put a lot of time and effort and not an inconsiderable amount of talent into story writing, helping other people etc, I would like to open this as a forum for nominating those Citizen for Veteranship.

I obviously do not go through all the threads, but am always amazed at the contributions people make. It's been talked about a bit in other threads, so here are my nominations with an obvious bias.

Wild Wombat
Killa Koala
Theodan of Rohan
Cotal
Evil Steve

Any others or anybody disagree?

There is none... Its soly up to the descression to those at Stardock.. Think of it like a job... the more you get noticed for doing good things the more likly your going to be noticed and a better chance to be rewarded.. Vetrans and other Titles are simply stardock's ways of saying you've been noticed and thankyou for contributing to the metaverse..

You never know why you've been noticed.. ie: what you did to get the change in title..

Titles ar not ranks..

its like being knighted by the queen of england.. no matter who you are or what you've done if you get noticed doing good things for the community your in with a shot..

Hope this helps you understand.

Hey, contribute those bug reports, and help out people asking for help when you can here on the forums... AFAIK, that's all I did. I hadn't realized that the change of status was not automated until this thread..

Which reminds me... Thanks Star Dock! :D

Although being a Vet just means you get to see one more forum that almost never has traffic in it... Looks like it was the Alpha/Beta forum perhaps?

Veteran gives you status and recognition. Hopefully me becoming a vet increased the number of people downloading my mods, and it makes noobs look up to me more ;) .

Also I have a theory on why I became a vet(If Frogboy sees this it would be pretty cool if he were to tell me if its true or not):
1. Nand1 Created mods.
2. They were good/first big improvement and anomaly add-ons.
3. Nand1 was at the developer chat where he mentioned checking out his mods to Frogboy
4. Frogboy or somebody at Stardock did check them out and decided they were a "contribution to the metaverse".
5. Stardock promoted me.

Tell me if this sounds reasonable.

Edit: Added reasons

I think I got promoted after posting what I thought was a clever strat involving trading for AI freighters in the early game. But it might have been a coincidence.

I've got a totally baseless theory. It's that Stardock (maybe Brad) gets to see names of those who have exceeded a certain post count. He then decides if that person warrants a promotion.

I don't think I've posted THAT much. Or maybe I have...
