Fundies!

Wellpp..... just lost me a good one (guess I could go back to autosave, might do that)...

See, we're cruising along... got about 70% morale empire-wide... nice and evil...

And then one day, as space monsters fly by, unleashed by an alien force, a bunch of people take it as a sign from almighty GOD and decide to get religion.

And so on that day, with space-monsters flying about and corvettes and battle-axes surrounding them, half the empire defects and forms a fundamentalist nation. Nine out of nineteen systems go Fundie, including Sol and several other major "Core" systems... They were all pretty decently happy (about 70% of them) but those space-monsters must have given them religion....

*sigh*... silly peasants.

It's a random event. Has nothing to do with the space monster. Or at least it didn't utnill the expansion. What you need to do is join G.R.O.S.S. and teach those fundies what seperation of church and state is all about. You must be the only active New Texas republic member left.

Not at all. Texans made good rebellious folk in their old republic days. Perfect for Pirates once they get their space legs under em matey. And one does not convert a Texan.
