I still might kill you

they say I’m losing my edge
letting the shit get to me
taking it too seriously
getting soft in my old age

my bones feel old
the same goes for the shit stains in my shorts
maybe my attitude has softened a little
walking where I used to run and sipping not
guzzling
taking a little more time

but I’ve tripped the “light fantastic”
eaten handfuls of acid, mountains of mushrooms, smoked a forest of pot,
and snorted a small country in cocaine,
I’ve experienced light speed on the couch
and contemplated all the left handed curves in the
universe and my navel

I’ve read dylan, bob not thomas, played chess for lines
and puked on everyone I know
been through rehab then did it again
got a toothache and ate perkies for a year

I watched my best efforts to make my children
weary of the sparklies and always know the way out
return dressed in conservatism so blatant it demands
a navy blazer and appropriate tie

so maybe I am a little slower and less willing to trade
insults, but you never know,
I still might kill you

Another Masuda Classic. How's the publishing effort going?

Slower than I had hoped, but still encouraging. Evidently, thing don't happen according to my best planning. There seems to always be someone else who has to see it and then more changes. But I am undaunted. I realize this stuff can take time, but I've got time and I dedicated to giving it my best efforts. Thanks for all the encouragement.

Well keep us posted man, I'm using you as a guinea pig for something I'd really like to attempt within the next 1-5 years.

IT's better to be who you are than who you think you should be - I believe you can kill provided the colonoscopy doesn't get you first.
