Well all, I tried submitting that damned Huge/Crippling again. No luck. It's still Anomalous. I don't understand how it doesn't show up as Anomalous on Cari or Brad's PC, but when I try to submit it it shows 0 pts... :notsure:

I resubmitted my Gig/Maso as well to see the difference in score. You'll now see I'm the proud owner of a whopping 60k score!

Well, I'm going to see if I can start a game now. It's pretty late to get very far, but what the hey....

Weird... maybe I could try submitting it from my computer?

Anyone noticed an increase in random event frequency in 1.11? I'm playing my first 1.11 game and I got colonization events on six of eight worlds colonized.

Mmm... also it seems like the AI is a bit smarter about declarations of war, which is great.

I think the maso bonus has been toned down somewhat though--the AIs aren't shooting ahead on tech nearly as fast as I'm used to. Disappointing.

Anyway, that was fun but it's definitely time for sleep.

Gerakken is playing catch up right now. *pant pant* Ray, grats on reaching the goal of your quest! I see the Ring is becoming too weighty for any one person to carry alone. No problem there. You got good people in the Fellowship to help carry that weight. I guess another forum legend drifts into a state of relative obscurity. It happens to most of us old timers eventually. Just a warning: stay gone three days like I did and too much happens! So come by when you can. Sleeping on the job here can lead to earth-shaking results. I should know!

vincible: I sent the save game to Cari again. If she looks at it and it looks fine on her end, I just may take you up on your offer. I don't know if Cari would submit it for me herself, or not. I'm really kind of concerned that I'll never get to play another Huge game again.

I started a Small/Maso last night to test out some of the changes of 1.11. I didn't really have enough planets to colonize to test whether random events were more frequent. Maybe the next Gigantic I play...

I've just finished reading several of the other empire forums, and I just can't help but wonder what the hell has gotten into everybody? The Jedi Republic is in complete meltdown, the POSSe is going through a soul searching about leaving, the ANZACS are in an uproar, and everybody else is wondering what's going to happen next. This is driving me crazy!! At first, I thought everybody was upset at our prank, but the more I think about it it looks like it's more of a problem with Cotal or Amidala or whatever the hell she's going by today. I was under the impression that every empire would love to have her join, but the Jedi are actually fighting because she pushed them up a few spots!! Can anyone actually be upset that they are higher in the standings because a great player joined??

I understand these empires want to earn their place in the Metaverse, but when people get upset when a couple of players join empires, so much so that they start dropping out of empires, what exactly is this proving?? Has everybody completely lost their freaking minds???

From here on out, I'm through apologizing. I'm through trying to understand what some of these people are doing. And I'm through feeling bad for these empires. This crap has gotten so ridiculous that, at least for the time being, I'm initiating a Monroe Doctrine for myself. I'm hunkering down here in the Halls and staying out of the other empire threads. Whenever the AMMs quit flying around out there, I'll come out of my hole and see what survived.

What happens and this is my opinion, that everyone has seen her jumping from empire to empire that it is hard to believe that she really wants to settle down and grow older in the Jedi Republic, sort of the story about the boy crying wolf, it is hard to believe that she is going to stay for good. So that is my opinion. I am not taking part of any kind of punishment, but whe you see good and bad players leaving because their empire has become a mockery, you have to wonder.

Thanks, Aaberg. I'm going to miss visiting. The Euros have proven to be a fun place for me to drop in on. I hope in the future that all the empires can get it together and we can get back to having fun again.

Mayito: I understand your thoughts about Cotal. But I can't approve of how she's being treated by everyone. Just because she's moved empires a couple of times doesn't mean she's making a mockery of an empire. I just hate to see her treated like an outcast because she wants to have fun somewhere else.

I agree with you I don't want her to be mistreated, but at the same time I don't want to see many players getting hurt because someone wants to have fun, that is why I am pro invitation only empire, do you want to come to our empire ask about it, we can vote about it and then decide if we want you in our empire or not. I think that she is the best player around here and maybe some people are jealous about her ability, I would love for her to stay permanently with the Jedi Republic and ishe says that she will I will return and support her cause, but you need to understand that when a player like her joins an empire it makes a BIG, real BIG difference in the Metaverse and then you get all excited and then next day you return and what happened we are again down in the Metaverse, that is what really hurts.

Not everybody, but a lot. Amidala has already announced her intention to stay and I don't know why everybody is still complaining.

I'd be up for a Galactic Peace Ball. I went to a Halloween party the other night as a pirate. Won second place in the costume contest (it was a pretty big party!) I'll have to find that picture of me in my costume with the bottle of Captain Morgan in my hand!

The person who I do sympathize with is Cotal. There's been a fair amount of hostility directed her way so the Jedi's can't be a great place to stay anymore, but if she leaves then it looks like she's vindicating all the doubters.

It's hard to believe the pirates have turned out to be the "sane" empire! LOL

Yeah, I feel bad for Cotal. I think she's getting the raw deal here. It might be best if Yoda kicked her out, so she could find an empire that wants her and she wouldn't be seen as swapping empires. :notsure:

I already apologize for my harsh criticism toward her, but I think that you will harvest what you sow, if she comes to any empire and says I want to stay for good, I think that any empire will be honor to have her as a member, but you go and stay one day here, and one day there, and one day in other place it is hard to take your word seriously. So I really hope that she stays for good, nobody else is criticizing her, the ones that did it are no longer part of the Jedi Republic and Jedi Master Yoda already made that clear that she is welcome to stay in the Jedi Republic. I am one that enjoy her style, I am very passionated about the game and for that reason I am not longer getting invloved with any other Empire excep the one that Kryp created The Jedi Academy, this is my last Empire.

I thought once everything calmed down the Academy was going to go back to the Jedi Empire? We're going to have two Star Wars based empires now?

If everything gets calm down for good, then we still have that option in mind, everything depends in what happens in the next few days. I have not heard anything from Cotal and I don't know if she is even play right now.
