Why does hardly anyone trust Computer Game Magazine?

On the poll, Computer Games Magazine is struggling to keep in 4th place. I have Computer Games Magazine and they recommended the Geforce 4 ti 4200 graphics card. I got that it is basically the ti 4600 except a hundred dolalrs less and Ive never had a problem with it. They have also shown me many of my favorite games I play today especially Galactic Civilizations.

The poll isnt the 'least trusted', its the most
trusted, there is a difference.

I read all 3 publications (and check sites like Metacritic) before making a $40-$50 purchase.

I too find CG Strategy+'s reviews to be superior (on average) to those in both its competitors. However, I recognize it does not have the subscription base or news-stand presence of either one. So I am not surprised by the poll's results.

Hopefully more people will hear about CG Strategy+ and start reading it, too.

I also read em all. I dont think any one mag's reviews are superior to the other. That depends on WHO reviews and WHAT games they review. I've found (in my opinion) spot on reviews and loads of crap reviews (based on my experience with said games) in all three mags.
Superficial observations:
Computer Gaming: a little too full of themselves; take the serious gaming and reporting thing a little too far. Always putting down the other mags for their juvenile antics. There is an element of truth to that assertion, but building your mag up by putting others down is in itself juvenile. And its just a freakin hobby folks. They are not writing for the American Medical Assc. That said. A good mag overall,though my least favorite; I dont know why.
PC Gamer: a wee bit juvenile. The Vede grates. Chiaki could lose a few pounds. My favorite mag.

Computer Gaming World: also a wee bit juvy, but less so than PC. Like Jeff Green. Sentimental fav as its the first mag I started reading when I switched from console to PC many years ago.

Now that I've posted my thoughts I cant help but think, who cares? Time to go play some games.
