I've managed to register galciv.org - and will host (free!) any empire websites as subdomains on that domain - eg jedirepublic.galciv.org or fotr.galciv.org - no adverts, no popups, plenty of space.

Server is a Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP box (basically RedHat Linux 7.3) with ample bandwidth.

Uploaded to the wrong directory - the site must be in the public_html directory. Should be there now!

Could you [email protected] me too for the European Alliance (euro.galciv.org) as our forum is being difficult (hosted for free). Can I get a mySql database as it is needed for the forum. Thx!

Hey alex, if you like I could set up a small page with e107 for the main galciv.org site. With v6 I can just set the links page to be the front page, so we could easily have a nice gateway to all the other sites for visitors to go through.

Advance Warning

My server is going to be moved to a new datacenter at the end of the month. I've received the following from the center managers....

The move is scheduled to start on the evening of Friday 28th November, and will continue on the 29th and 30th November. Downtime will be at a minimum whilst we move the servers from our current datacentre to our new one. We are estimating 60-90 minutes of downtime whilst the servers are moved.

Please note: Each servers will need to be shut down for around 30 minutes while it is transported to the new data centre.

They'll also be increasing the bandwidth available by a factor of 10!

Depends what you want - PHP, MySQL (although I'd need to enable that!), Perl, Python, CGI support...

Site Stats are there already (domain.galciv.org/stats - use your username and password!)
